I was going to say "Day 1" but didn't want to get ahead of myself.

I think he still sounds raspy and gravelly. I wonder if that's just how he's going to sound now or if he still needs time for his vocal cords to heal?

Straining wouldn't seem to be a good recipe for healing, but time will tell.

i think last week parkins noted he had done more shows with grote than mac.

but when you've got a talent like danny mack FM rolling out of bed there's at least 250k reasons why you want that dude back on the air stat/pronto/etc

My Lord, Parkins really has a chubby over the NBA and its ratings being up. He ought to do a show with Chris Blech and Adam Abracadabra. They can jerk each other off over the magnificence that is the NBA.

Bernstein & Goff weren't wrong! Vindicated!

It didn't sound as if Roundball DanMaNa was prepared for the ratings talk from what I heard.

Double digit rate increases for the NBA regular season AND playoffs. Maybe there's hope for the NFL all day fans in the local numbers.

At least four or five months to get to 100%

Voice seemed weaker as show wore on. Bad luck for him. He won't be able to do this 4+ hours a day in his condition. I admire him for showing up though.

He did sound pretty hoarse by the end of the show. That's probably not a good sign. :(

Still the same bad sports thoughts coming out of Dannys mouth so I tuned out quickly. This show is almost as bad as Bernstein & Goff was.

Parkins (paraphrasing): Nothing bothers me more than small talk about the weather.

*Starts 5 o'clock hour with ten minutes of weather talk*

I'll agree, Mac sounds like he has a way to go. Still....the next time Bruce Levine does a segment without hacking up a lung will be the first.

I'll take Mac with 60% vocal capacity over nothing.

Got to listen to quite a bit yesterday as I was in the car coming home from a trip. I thought they had a good interview with Charles Davis.
What I noticed is that Mac is letting Danny doing most of the driving and would chirp in once in a while. When he did speak it sounded really
rough but if he can progressively speak a bit more until he is fully healed up I am ok with that. Parkins likes to hear himself talk and can run
with the show on his own well enough.

Is this Mac's first day out since 4/16 or did the streak end before today?

I did not catch reason but yesterday I thought he said he was getting another planned injection on his vocal cord. Maybe something happened?

It's time to sit Mac until week 1 of NFL season. That's all he wants to talk anyway. Parkins can go solo and entertain with his bad Cubs thoughts, and get them to September.

Parkins solo is kind of Colin Cowherd-y.

People appearing on Sports Talk Live get paid in gift cards. Parkins gave $200 worth of gift cards to Joe's to Spiegel and his wife as their wedding present. He said he's getting killed for it by texters.
