Mac is not in today. I didn't catch why, but I assume it has to do with his voice. Something about hearing Parkins talk about gambling reminds me of an alcoholic trying to convince everyone at his intervention that it's actually good he drinks so much. I've heard people on various stations the last two days talk about gambling, and that's what it sounds like -- people talking about the recent news about gambling. With Parkins, it sounds like he's trying to justify his obsession with it. |

Responsible gambling is a lot of fun. It's just another form of entertainment and is especially exciting when you already love sports. Parkins is definitely all in. I like his enthusiasm and full throated defense of the things he loves. |

I have made maybe five sports bets in my life. But I enjoy the talk on VSIN on XM, especially on baseball, for a few minutes each week. |

Parkins: Gambling!!!!! Weed. Gambling!!!!!! Weed... (5 hours later....) Parkins: Man, today's show flew by. I thought it was a great show. We touched on a lot of issues about gambling and weed. Hopefully Mac is back tomorrow. We need to hear what he thinks about gambling and weed. See you tomorrow. |

I have mixed feeling on the Carcillo interview. I love the awareness, but you seriously needed someone to tell you repeated hits to the head was bad? |

The last time he was in they treated it with something more extreme, causing him to miss multiple days. |

I wonder if that's plausible deniability should things ever go sideways. The truth is most likely the friend is booking the bets or at least some of them. |
