Was Goff offered anything and he turned it down? Wondered if he did not want to be quiet but rather move onto the next gig.

Probably helps his cause that outside of one snarky comment about McNeil, Spiegs handled his demotion fairly well. I'm guessing if he went on Twitter and called Jimmy DeCastro a liar he probably wouldn't be on the air today.

Spiegel and Parkins was so successful they ended it. It also appears that Bernstein and McKnight are easily winning the same timeslot so I don't think it was the greatness of Spiegel there.

That's why the show was ended. DiCastro needed to repair all the damage done from B&G. Spiegel was launched since a) he wouldn't mesh with Bernstein, b) DiCastro wanted his boy, and c) replacing Speigel gave DiCastro cover in the race issue of firing Goff.

Spiegel fares better as a solo host than he does working with a partner. Having an interlocutor seems to foreground his narcissism, insecurity and petty malevolence. He enjoys trying to humiliate others, something that makes him an intolerable, unprofessional, and unbearable radio partner. In contrast, the logistical demands involved with flying solo somehow disguise his wanton character flaws, smooth out the rough edges created by his evident personality disorder, and render him a much easier listen.

I don't think anyone on this board knows the answer to that, but regardless his public reaction was very poor and likely burned any bridge left at 670.

The show wasn't working. It's just interesting that people were calling this from the day they were both removed from the shows.

Spiegel and Goff were doing well in the ratings too. In fact, they were so well Goff got the promotion that Parkins then got. Once again, Goff deserved what he got. Why was Spiegel not in the same situation? None of those answers explain it.
