Resurrecting a bit I did with Terry in the '90s: Dan Landers, radio's version of an advice columnist.

Anybody got a "life question?" Trouble at work or at home? Even if you're just "askin' for a friend," ask here. Segment airs at 3 tomorrow.

If one wanted to become a John Wall fan, how would one go about that?

Dear Dan MacLanderson:

My buddy and I have decided that we would like to try to ice fish for the first time.

Please provide me some tips on how to do this as efficiently as possible. Also, is it possible to drink while on the ice, or will you get locked-up for that? I have not Googled anything on the subject because I am seeking TRUE Mactastic knowledge, not that of the possible millions who may have done this numerous times before.

Thank you so much for your time.

Drillingly,

Dear Dan,

With the Joe Ricketts bigotry, the welcoming back of Addison(don't call him Addy) Russell, and the deal with Sinclair...How do I rationalize remaining a Cub fan?

If I do switch allegiance, should I pick Milwaukee or the White Sox?

Dear Dan, I had a situation with my employees years ago where a few of them publicly made some sexist comments. To show my concern and sensitivity for the situation I brought someone on staff to increase diversity and be more inclusive. Now a few years down the road I realize that the person I hired has zero talent or knowledge of what I hired her to do but.........I can not relieve her of her duties in fear of a defamation lawsuit. What can I do? Sincerely, M

Dear Dan,

I spread my seed a little too widely. A once promising broadcast career has turned into a series of uninteresting, low paid corporate jobs. While I still roll up foolish fish at an alarming rate, I can hardly afford rent or the child support. I left a wake of female destruction along the way. I am always taking DNA tests. How do I get out of this cycle of self induced drama?

Do you think vaping is a good alternative to smoking the death sticks?

Dear Dan:

I am the father of boys in and around their teenage years. Last weekend one of them had a group of friends over after a game on a Friday night. The boys were all hanging out in the attic den and I popped in a couple of frozen pizzas as they said they were hungry. When the pizza was finished I walked up the stairs to tell them to come down to grab food. As I got to the landing I overheard their conversation and two of the kids were describing what I understood (not from my viewing, of course) the adult movie Two Girls, One Cup and daring one of the other children to pull it up on his phone. Their description was both advanced for their age and innocent in that they really didn't understand it for what it was.

I've had intermittent talks with all my boys about the subject of sex, its reproductive aspects and our religious views on it. I don't shy from the conversation. However, this is real big boy smut. I just don't know if I can have that conversation about the fringes of sexuality especially with a boy stuck in the 101 level classes of understanding of the subject. I'm not even sure anyone but the two kids had even viewed it, but I fear it is imminent.

I see this as two things I need to handle:

1. What do I do about the kids who had seen it. They are the product of recent divorces but with good parents. Maybe they are advancing a little more quickly than others because of the divorce. Their mother confided in my wife that she had caught porn in their search history recently. Do I tell the mom/dad? Do I distance my boy from them?

2. How do I talk about it with my kid. I certainly don't want him to feel shame as that will only lead to psychological issues down the line. At the same time, I want to let it be known very strongly that not only is the subject matter not acceptable but our house isn't the local adult theater. I guess that also brings up a third issue, there were probably 10 kids there. If they go home and tell their parents that they heard or saw something at our house, then I am branded the bad parent and my kid will be banned.

Sincerely,

Two Problems, One Dad

Ugh, I didn't think they would be playing this straight.

Needs to be done with a humorous angle to it IMO.

Too damn serious of a segment.

Dear Dan,

Anyone with a pulse knows the Score is a far left station that loves to make fun of anything right wing in the news.

Coming out that the Empire guy staged the incident in Chicago. Everyone ran with this story and the guy was on GMA this morning talking about it. Your co host says Facts matter all the time. The Facts on this story! OMG!

Will you discuss it on the station? It is the strangest thing to happen since the Manti Teo(sp?) story.
