There should be at least 70% Bears talk going forward. The other 30% should be baseball talk. There is absolutely no reason to mention hockey right now.

This show is probably the worst in the lineup. I did press the button, but 1000 is a tough listen too. It's hard for Parkins to carry a guy who has just about checked out. Hopefully, the Bears season breathes a little life into Mac. Unlike Boers, I don't think Mac is lovable or entertaining enough to coast.

How MANY times can sports radio listeners pray for Mac to regain interest?

Mac is going to cottage in like a week. I imagine once he comes back it will be all Bears and Muskees.

Outside of listening to Hood, I am a loyal Score listener. It's a much better experience when the afternoon show doesn't suck.

But the afternoon show has sucked for about 7 years now.

I liked it last year. I didn't really listen to the Score a lot the 3 or 4 years before then. During the Bears season I didn't cut it off until Holmes came on. I even woke up with Les.

Les is great. Training camp stories will help next week.

I don't get the Les hate. Sure, he's a little Rain Manish, but he's a solid listen early in the morning.

the problem with Les' show is that the callers are all senile, drunk, both, or from Wisconsin and only want to talk about Ronny Santo and Da Golden Jet and Stash. Sure, rehashing the old days is fun, but not every night.

whats tony soprano say?... "remember when" is the lowest form of conversation

He gets trolled a lot and doesn't recognize it.

But he is still going to games all year round while still hosting an overnight talk show. A lot more effort put into it than several others in this town. Well, you think what you want about Les. He's not changing. I like Les. His wife likes Les. His listeners like Les. 'Cause he's the real article. What you see is what you get.

Last time I heard them talk Bears was in probably mid-May when Parkins thought it was ridiculous that the kicker story would be talked about.

If the Cubs fade (probably unlikely to happen), it will shift over time, but I can guess that most of the show will be Cubs (probably 60-40) in August, but will shift to more of an even split as we get closer to September. Obviously, once the Cubs are done, it'll be 80% Bears/NFL with sidebars for 80's movies/music/pot talk. Parkins doesn't seem interested in bringing up the Bulls much because Mac doesn't care so that sucks, but I would like some coverage of them once in-season.

Great interview yesterday afternoon on M&P with Coach Nagy from camp.

Apparently, Nagy doesn't watch movies and loves country music.

It was a solid interview. Nice touch giving him peanuts. I didn't hear the movie question but heard the answer. I'm not surprised a coach doesn't watch movies.

 Yeah - he took the peanuts thing very well. Seems like a genuinely regular guy with a good sense of humor.

Nagy said he was gonna fix up Danny Mac with a new Bears visor. Mac asked Nagy if he had a "visor guy" and Nagy said no. However, they were gonna hit up the Bears equipment guy for the visor.

Good to see you back, Nas.

It's the show within the show.
