Parkins and Mac were going over the lineup for the rest of the show and Mac said something along the lines of "Might as well treat this like it's your last. My deal is up next Tuesday." Mac also said he hoped his path would cross with McKnight and Schuster somewhere down the road. Not sure if it was a misspeak but I hadn't heard anything about Schuster being let go. |

I wonder if Mac will take up to a 40-50 percent paycut, which you gotta think Entercom is leveraging. I think Mac would agree to it for a year because he seems to be enjoying the show with Parkins in this phase of his radio life. On the other hand, without any live sports for the foreseeable future, maybe he just hangs it up. |

Career tip, get out of radio! It's a dead industry. In theory, this industry shouldn't be shedding jobs like this(I mean, everyone is at home and can stream radio right?) My guess is sponsors pulled and this is an excuse to whack everybody. |

I don't think Mac will hang it up, even if Entercom tries to put the screws to him on a new deal. He said he started moving metal at Webb and looked to get back into radio to keep his head above water while providing care for his son, who as I understand it, will require lifelong care. While it would be suuuuuper shitty for Entercom to leverage, even indirectly, Mac's situation with Patrick to save tens of thousands of dollars, the reality is that the resulting contract would still be relatively easy money for Mac, and taking a shorter deal while gambling that this goes away in 6-12 months is probably a better option than not making any money. |
