Most of the others laid off were actual on-air talent during the daytime and not 10-midnight but only when the Cubs don't play. ON-air talent got fired from music and talk radio stations, why would somebody working 10-midnight when there are no sports get a pass?

I'm not commenting on what's right or wrong, what's moral or immoral, but one thing for certain, the vast majority of Score listeners find Jay Zawaski more embarrassing than Dan McNeil. But that's the whole cultural battle in a nutshell. The idea that certain thoughts aren't fit to be heard and that people that like Mac are deplorable and if the listeners were good people they'd like Julie and Maggie instead. We don't. And I'm not sorry about that at all.

I can't think of a place where diversity of opinion matters less for one, or why your racial background or gender would give you a leg up in making comments about last night's game.
