ok ok ok is this thing on? its great to be here at the vacant lot that was once the site of Come Back Inn on lake street in Melrose Park Im Sabu, we will get to the dick jokes, I assure you and then magician Mike Vondrouska will wow you with his amazing feats of prestidigitation. things I think about today as I wade through Friday rush hour traffic home whilst behind 5 massive SUVs, filled with Mexicans with no less than 3 gigantic mexican flags on their vehicles, while I am forced to listen to that god damned ommpah loompah music they play at infernal volumes. try getting from little village to the NW burbs at 1730 hours on a friday with RIOT fest a going in douglas park and Mexican Independence day weekend happy hour. JChrist on the F ing Cross, un believable. I think about why Mac didnt kick dirt on when he was shitcanned from Chicago Radio (I know this is the exhume grandma portion)[the game within the game]; Mac is the ultimate open book, he would have kicked shit on how it went down, what he was told, who told him and when; that is the lesson Mac learned from Howard Stern in the early days, when Stern made his bones and launched like the Space Shuttle [when it didnt blow up with a teacher on board, or burn up on re-entry]. The rise of stern to the scam multi millionaire charlitan/hustler he is is that even when he was at his most offensive, he was always authentic; that, kids, is the secret of the old media. It is like saying that Mac was the best steam boat captain; the internet and the new media world wide web model makes that philosophy obsolete and the time to get over the top is like 1 percent of the time that old old radio personalities build an audience over time model. For radio, which is really a dying industry; no one has told anyone in the medium; but in 20 years the web will turn what is left of it into the best horse buggy whip manufacturer after the Model T went into mass production. All of those old junker cars with radios are going to the very Pick a Part that AM1000 is reading ads for. The next generation of even the used piece of garbage used cars, will have internet connectivity. and that is when the fade to black or whatever shit Joniak ranted about like an escaped mental patient when the Bears won one on the last play or in OT happens. kinda like Danny was one of the last radio media personalities with honesty and color that could thread the needle with that open book authenticity. Ill bet all you dudes and dudettes that they agreed to pay out his contract or gave him a settlement check with a non disclosure. better to claim wokeness, not have litigation on a case D Mac would have killed on in federal court, and pay the man to go away, than have a pissed off Mac off of the choke chain, with only a podcast clicks away on the interweb to blast the hell out of the absurdity of that move to shitcan him. I guess it is a snapshot of the times, like the perfect storm (which is a good film, because Clooney and Wahlberg (spoiler alet) both drown to death in the cold atlantic waters in the end); which is another thing I think about in this hellish traffic while tejano music blares in my ears and I contemplate taking my CCL SIG Sauer and using it on myself just to stop having to hear that music. had to edit, this may be my Tale of Two Cities later im sabu |
