Dan,

Whenever and wherever you get back on the air, I am begging you if it is in your power please do away with the 3 man show. After having the opportunity to listen to Boers and Bernsy for the last month or so, I realize the one thing I miss the most - the two man show. Back in the day when it was you and Boers and then Jiggs, the chemistry of the two of you interacting was what made it interesting and entertaining.

To me the 3 man show seems convoluted and forced while a 2 man show seems to flow so much nicer.

Perhaps it was the personality of the egg shaped jockey that made the 3 man show not as listenable, but I think not. I think it takes away from the give and take when you have to pause and wait for the third person to interject a differing and all too often stupid rebuttal of the point at hand.

Just my .02 for the record.

Degenerate Dave

It depends a lot on the second host but I like the 3 man too. Not to start a B&B argument but what is great about hearing Dan Bernstein's opinion and hearing Terry say yes, exactly, or by cracky? I don't love Mike and Mike but they are better at the 2 man show even if it is contrived.

Spaulding,

I agree it depends on who the parties are.

But one thing I have noticed over the many years about three person shows (or booths). One is HATED ( ). I don't know why, but you can look back to Howrd Coseel, Tony Kornheiaser, Dennis Miller, Harry , and there always seems to be one that doesn't fit in. What it does in the long run is detract from the total product.

The next time it works will be the first. You could argue TAS succeeded, but it was eventually broken up by management. It lasted for a while, but not long term.

I happen to agree with you about the two man show. It just seems to flow better. Maybe the problem with the 3 man show was Harry. I think he's a problem with any show.

Warrior Don - that's a great point! Now that I think about it, it does seem like all 3 man booths have one guy that noone can stand at all - let's not forget carm silvy and mariotti - jesus, he was horrible.

I prefer a two-man show as well. aside from the Saloon and previously, MJH, I would prefer that Mac's new thing is a two-man deal.

two man show with the producer chiming in occasionally is good.

three man = too many guys fighting to fill every second of silence.
