I saw you posted in Silvy and Waddle section that their show had huge numbers and I would be interested to know what you're former show's numbers were since you were asked to leave?

The fellas were decidedly winners vs. the Score. 4.6 to a 3.4 among adult men, I think. Very happy for them. And... I get a bonus after being a part of it for only two weeks. Double win.

Sweet. That's found money. You have to parlay it. I like the Sox tonight.

Those numbers should be frightening to Boers and Berstein.

We sure about this one, Mac? I'd find that a little hard to believe...

If you have listened to their show latley those numbers wouldn't shock you. Horrible is being nice.

What in particular do you find hard to believe, Krazy?

Maybe I misunderstood you. Are you saying that Carm Jurk & Harry beat B&B or were you still talking about Silvy & Waddle? I guess I was under the impression that 1000 lost more than a few afternoon listeners recently. I personally haven't even listened to anything but the postgame show on occasion or a little bit here and there when the White Sox are playing on 670.

Yes, CJH was the head-to-head winner. It's unfortunate all the papers whacked their media writers because there are some good storylines that emerged from this ratings book ( for the handful of us who care about such things). I'd bet on Ed Sherman's Crains blog to be the lone outlet. And speaking of the Shermanator, I talked to him about the board recently and encouraged him to participate. He sounded excited about having an occasional mention here and I bet we can coax him into registering with "us."

Gotta go shoot a mulligan-free 97 down the street with the strikingly handsome Teddy G and the perky Mike Hall. I know.... namedropper.

You'd only be a namedropper if those names were relevent. If you're golfng with say Derrick Rose, Kane, Cutler , Slappy , then maybe you could toss the word namedropper around. :P

Where can these ratings be found? I used to have a site, but can't remember the address...

you gotta think of all the people who probably tuned in to find out what happened with MAC and to check out Carmen...I think whenever theres a major move in the industry youll probably see a spike for that show...curiousity or "WTF happened ratings"

That should last for a day, maybe two...tops. There is absolutely nothing special about this show anymore. Your theory may be accurate as I can't come up with a good reason for the beating B&B took.

I think it can last a while Ivan...Some people who are casual listeners maybe didnt even know MAC was gone for a week or 2...then they find out...say Waa Haapan...and then tune in.

I agree that the show is a shadow of its former self...

Actually does this include B and Bs spring training interuptions? That could be an even bigger reason

Neither the Saloon nor B&B have been that good lately. I think B&B had a good run maybe a month or two ago for about 2 weeks, but other than that they've both been average at best.
I'd say it was due to the fact that it was the slow part of the year for sports, but W&S still managed to be entertaining.

B&B 's lack of hockey talk and knowledge of the sport has forced people to tune into CJH.

I prefer to shoot a mulligan free 67 down the dial.

Maybe its the fact that B&B suck, unless you like being talked down to and understand all of the inside jokes.

Not saying that the Saloon is anything great anymore, but its not a surprise to me that B&B lost again.

I predict that "Boers & Bernstein" will soon move back to middays and Mitch Rosen FINALLY pulls the plug on that train wreck called "Hampton & Holmes" & reassigns "Murph"...again.

Do I understand this right. The show is doing better in the ratings WITHOUT Mac?
Even I find that hard to believe.

Yep. Only the classless, egotistical people in this world enjoy a little good news and/or a few SAWBUCKS. It must be me. Love the Tony O. avatar, First Timer.

Not sure picking up the windfall is egotistical FTC. I think egotistical would be more like "I picked up a bonus, but I didn't care about that"

Wondering if North is still begging for advertisers during his show, even though he claims "We don't need them as we got plenty" (of course having more that pay is what he might be looking for)
