Just a game and an overnight so traveling light. I'm (Ben) eager to get in Slappy's expensive SUV (snob) and enjoy a little Mo Wanchuk. Got some fresh melon fruits for a manly commute to a conference finals game. Planning on getting a rough ride from Hockeytown's meatballs while sporting my Hawks road jersey #16 with "Maki" (for yester-year Hawk Chico Maki... a thoughtful gift from the Tiny One). SSE, pack an extra pair of skivs in case you shart during the Red Wings' first powerplay. Our local heroes need quicker penetration into the offensive zone tonight. Seems like four red jerseys are in the defensive zone while the Hawks are still waiting to clear the blue line to get on-side. Go Team Q. |

The Hawks got outclassed last game, but I never count this group out. There is a lot of skill and fight in this team, and it is backed by experienced coaching. Here's hoping they come out firing and sustain pressure. We have better goal tending, so if we equal them in quality shots, I like our chances. And Keith/Seabrook, please no more stupid turnovers! |

The Blackhawks can beat these guys. Don't allow any "free skating" in front of the net. Shove, push, hack anyone hanging out there. Let's get physical!!! GO HAWKS!! |

DaMaNa is going to DEMF? Excited for Carl Craig on the main stage? What after-parties will you be attending? |

After the talk of Mac and Slapnuts leaving their wives for one another, the title post should be Packing IN Detroit. |

They could have stolen that game last night. Wings radio babbling about how tired the Wings were going into the game. Post game they did point out that Patrick Kane was -2 last night. |

If you make it over for those, consider stumbling/taking a cab/busing it up to: Monday May 25th - Need I Say More IV - Old Miami Need I Say More 4 Monday, May 25 Old Miami 3930 Cass Ave Detroit 7am - 5pm 21+ $10 after party list(s) for DEMF 2009: http://dj-electrohouse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37187 http://www.detroitluv.com/index.php?board=81.0 Tough call on Innervisions on the Main Stage vs Jay Denham Sunday. Saturday isn't any easier: Carl Cox/ Francois K/Steve Bug on the Main Stage vs Marco Carola/Adam Beyer/Damian Lazarus on the Beatport stage (which was the tent stage closest to the river that Hawtin played last year). Carl Craig plays the Main Stage earlier enough Monday to make a drive back to Chicago doable--unless Underground Resistance breaks out another 'For Those Who Know' party Monday night party. |
