OK, we all know that "The Danny Mac Show" will not stand as the name for Mac's new program. First, it's cheesy and kind of gay. Second, it doesn't account for Spiegel, who will be Mac's co-host. Since Mac's creative powers have apparently failed him, then, the task to rename his show has been left to us. Good Dolphin is already on record as christening the show "Meatpants and the Meat-Eater," but this suggestion obviously only amplifies the aforementioned gay problem with the existing show name. My choice would be "Meatpants and the Meatball" because, while he's playing nice now, Bernstein will soon be fulminating against Mac's wanton, growing meatballery in the 1 PM show transition. Anybody else have an entry? |

I generally like completely spelled out last names of the show's principals, e.g. Boers and Bernstein. So it's either McNeil and Spiegel or if they want to go the cutesy nickname route, I could live with Mac and Spiegs. On this board and in private conversations I would like, with Midge's permissions, to use The Meatball and The Meatpants reference. |

First Call The early start to the show coincides with the opening of some fine establishments on the west coast. Well, within an hr at least. Idk, its probably too close to the title or theme of his old show. |
