We are about three days into Mac's Score gig and it is remarkable how different (as in better) the show sounds and feels. Jurko and Harry were a 600 lb of fat, sweat, and sh* that dragged the ESPN version down for, what was it, seven (?) long years. In the past I expressed dipleasure (on this board) about Mac's overprogramming and overscripting, about how contrived every statement sounded on his old show, making an overall 6th listening option behind B&B, Roe, GN, 780, or whatever was on the Loop. I feel like it won't be a stretch to suggest that all the overscripting and stupidity was a way to camouflage the shortcomings of Messrs. Jurkovich and Tinywitz. I don't know how the financial arrangements of Mac's current and former deal compare and I don't care since from my strictly consumerist stanpoint, so far, I like what I hear. |

Yes, this appears to be a much better product via attrition. Harry was a great guy, don't get me wrong. Met him on several occations and loved hanging with him. But I can't spend every day listening to the guy. He makes me crazy. And honestly, he brought down the celing on the show. Jurk was also a real nice guy, but a sleepy guy, and sleepy doesn't translate well on the window. Anyhow, the show sounds good. It's coming together nicely. And just heard a Good Dolphin reference. |

I love Mac and am a big fan of his style. I haven't found the current show that compelling, but I am giving it a try. |

The new show is pretty good, however, it's seems to be missing something? Maybe a third voice, someone like a comedian to even things out. I wonder if they could get someone of a "John Pinette" caliber to join the show? |

Great guy when I've been at his appearences after shows, but not so much on the air anymore. Jurko, when full of piss and vinegar, is awesome and quite funny. Now, not so much. |

I am a big Danny Mac fan...but I still don't understand why Mac thinks that Spiegel is the best partner for him. Spiegel adds nothing to the show, in my opinion. He's not WSCR timber...at all. I would rather hear Goff or Jurko with Mac. |

Three days of Mac and I'm hooked. This is a far better listen than MJH was; and while I still flip over to hear Silvy/Waddle, I'm finding myself not doing so that much anymore. Meatpants I can tell will annoy me from time to time; but at least it isn't TWO guys when it was Jurko and Harry (who should of been let go with the rest of the Kevin Matthews show.) Keep it up Mac and Meatpants!!! |

Goff and Drinky didn't get a long-standing show for a reason. They're solid producers, but not so great personalities. |

In fact, when Kev joined the former 105.9 WCKG after the former 94.7 The ZONE let him go, Harry was nowhere to be found... |

That man is God-awful radio; and how he keeps working is beyond me. |

Speigel, I am happy to say, has an edge to him as he exhibited when Tom Shaer was on to talk about the angst that Chet has with him and the whole Hernandez/Webio situation. As Wanny once said, all the pieces are in place. |
