Shaer explained that he had worked with Hernandez on an investment in a restraunt 11 years ago-restraunt fell through and he gave Hernandez HIS money back. Also, Hernandez had started a mortgage process for Shaer and when tom went to go complete the process, the bank president explained that Hernandez had been fired. He was called by the FBI when Hernandez was arrested in 98 and asked if Shaer had invested any money with Hernandez to which Shaer explained that Hernandez had invested money with him. |

i missed a bit, but shaer said he spoke to the FBI back in 1998 and knew about DH's issues. so he called the FBI agent again earlier this year to find out if anything new was going on. FBI guy says that he doesn't know of any current issues. thus he didn't want to get involved in bad-mouthing the guy around town. (could be sued i guess - my thoughts, not shaer's). |
