Friday/Saturday, whenever it was, 102/105, whatever it was. The point is that Zumaya's pitches were being clocked at 105 mph by Minute Maid (or Made?) Park's radar gun. Conspiracy theory nuts who think Detroit is juicing their radar gun to "intimidate" opponents take note. Zumaya's clocking triple digits all around the league, on every radar gun they put on dude's pitches. |

all a 105 MPH pitch does is provide additional Normal Force (FN) when the ball is hit. |

Guys like Joe Morgan think it's the height of commentary to opine with all seriousness "That pitch couldn't have been 101 mph, looked 99 to me, radar gun must be off." |
