Ok, minutia police, I readily admit I'm guilty, but yesterday, I heard the boys say they weren't going to read texts sent in that didn't have a name attached. They had been reading them and saying the area code of the texters that haven't been supplying names.

Today, Spiegs caught himself mid-read, "This text from...the western suburbs..." So instead of saying 630, he went western burb-age.

What's the difference between saying the area code or the actual area, and who gives a rat's ass if there isn't a name attached? For some fun, why not call the person on the air who sent in the unnamed text to bust their balls for not following instructions by assigning a nom de plume??? Too morning zoo-ish?

On other SCORE shows hosted by the likes of Laurence Holmes, Matt Abbatacola, Jason Goff & Zach Zaidman, they'll acknowledge the text and mention the area code. For some reason, they also don't mention names...

I agree. If it's a national show, it's nice to know where the call/email/text lives. But local shows, I don't care if they live in Joliet or Gurnee, ext...

Why do they have texting period? I think email and phone calls are the easiest way to go.

You would have to be the only person in the world who thinks it's easier to call someone and wait on hold than to send a text.

 Agreed, since a majority of listeners are likely in their car, a text is the next best thing
to e-mailing the show.
