Spiegs seems ready and willing to work 24/7, give the man the Sunday morning baseball show with (or without) Murph. 2-3 hours for Spiegs to get in depth baseball and save me from Zach taking "Steroids, good or bad calls?" Not removing him from The Mac and Meat Mid Day Attack, just improving a show that SUCKS right now and something I know Spiegs would love and can be really good at. |

I think your suggestion is a good one because it would probably give Meatpants the opportunity to learn something about baseball. Every time I tune into Hit and Run, it seems like Zach is forcing the "Do fans really care about steroid use?" topic. Absolutely brutal. Never thought I'd long for the hosting acumen of George Ofman. |

LOL. Of course, Hit & Run was sort of patterned after Spiegel's Baseball City Sunday morning show. This AM show was good for about 2 minutes, when Schuster was saying the Cubs need to get their shit together... A small grin showed up as I wondered if he's allowed to phrase it like that... |

Bruce Levine's show is far superior in my opinion. Bruce sometimes "protects" certain people too much (especially GM's) but he has vast knowledge of the subject and gets great guests. |

In fairness to Matt , Bruce is a baseball expert and has daily interactions with the teams, players, clubhouses and dugouts and should produce a quailty show with the insight and guests that he does get for his show. I don't think Bruce would be a very good everyday radio host with the fire and passion that Matt brings. |

Seriously, can't believe that WSCR replaced Ofman's show with an even worse show. They need a change (another one) |

I can tell you from first hand experience that Bruce deals in facts. He won't go after someone until he's heard their side of the story. He can be very critical when it's warranted. Also, you have to remember that Bruce has to deal with players, managers, and team management on a daily basis. Sometimes laying off a subject one day helps break the big story when it counts. I've heard from players that Bruce can be tough, but they all say he's fair. He's passionate about the game, and frankly one of the best. My new team-mate Spiegs is a smart guy, and a passionate baseball fan. I'd love to hear him do a baseball show on Sunday. |
