Really enjoyed the first 30 mins of the show.

So far Spaulding has been right on the mark.

Mac has literally pulled someone off the street and found a better match for himself than the one he has with Spiegel.

Why does everyone subbing for Spiegel sound better with Mac than Spiegel does? Why does everyone subbing for Mac sound better with Spiegel than Mac does?

Lack of "flight miles" is clearly not the problem with the Mac and meatpants pairing.

Could it be that both are used to driving and not riding shotgun?

That could very well be it. Good observation Vince.

OPV was like seeing a guy who you really liked hanging out with like twice a year. You laugh and have a great time, lots to talk about because of the absence. Look forward to seeing him again, but dont need to see him tomorrow.
Spiegel and Dan are doing fine and will get better. No major issues.
If Harry and Dan can work, Matt and Dan can as well.

The more I think about it, the more committed I am to the theory. You look at the last groupings for Dan - Harry/Jurko - neither are a driver...Same for Boers. As for meatpants, I listened to him quite a bit on SNR and he was always the front guy leading the conversation. It takes time to build that rapport. Look at Silvy and Waddle, despite both being good hosts, it took a good 4-6 months before they really hit their stride and become smooth like they are today.

So...Where is the podcast for this one? The 8/6 show is not getting it done.

I think it took time for Waddle to accept he was working with Silvy. Now it sounds like he actually likes him, didnt sound that way at first as it was like Silvy was interviewing him daily.

Yep, at first Waddle was kinda uppity and then I think someone told him that it wasn't WGN anymore.
