I was initially "punching the button" on this show. I have given it a second chance and have been listening to it a lot more. I was looking for an MJH-like listen when the show first started, and it was my own problem for expecting that. One thing I find myself liking the most is the contrast with the other shows on the station. I have a hard time listening to M&H, and I find B&B to be a frustrating antagonist listen. The Mac show is more user friendly. It clearly has yet to hit its stride, but I suspect I will like and listen to the end product. For the record, I punch the button every morning on M&H. I like the Bears report, but that's about it. I tend to listen to most of B&B, but I cringe more times than not. Since ESPN no longer appears on my presets, it is either WSCR or some random Sirius station. |

Re: I am not sensing improvements in the show. Fixed. I do agree with you on M&H and probably like B&B more than you do but do find it cringeworthy at times. Its funny because I have been listening more to Mac too but my view is 180 degrees from yours and I'm likely to PTFB soon. The problem is that Mac is lazy and Meatpants is not. Meat is chomping at the bit to be the lead and Mac is too lazy and non-caring to keep him in check. I think that while most of us are used to working at 9:00am each day Mac is not and he is not adjusting well. He sounds tired and disinterested from the start and goes downhill from there. Meat, on the other hand, is more than happy to fill the space and that is annoying. I don't think too many people would be all that interested in listening to The Meatpants Show and thats what is happening. Here's a prediction, Mac's ratings are going to suck and will continue to suck...they will lose regularly to Waddle and Silvy and Mac will be pushing to move back to afternoons where he's sure he can beat his former colleagues(who couldn't?...the Emergency Broadcast Signal would get higher ratings). I almost hear it already in some of his whining about the daypart. |

Funny stuff! Coincidentally (or not), I thought Mac and Meat had a good show yesterday. Good conversations on the Rios trade and Tommie Harris. And they curtailed the stupid flirtations with Kerry Sayers, at least from what I heard. |

The sooner that stops the better. |
