I'm confused about this post. He hosts a fun tailgate style party for his listeners, and that means he has a big ego? In my book that makes him a nice guy, and a person trying to promote his show and spend quality time with his fans. By your logic, a professional player who signs autographs before the game is doing it to stroke his own ego and get praise from his fans.

Is this a case of nice guys finishing last? Wouldn't he be too cool for the room or aloof if he avoided such forays?
