Yes, the shows need callers. Would rather hear a thought from a caller than hear Meatpants ramble. Some of the old time callers were more interesting than some of the on air hosts (Shaer). The show does have some low energy moments that could be filled by callers. Refusing was one of the major contributing factors in North's rapid crash and burn.
