Every time I click into that thread, intending to read it, I immediately click right back out, like running back out of the still-too-cold lake in May.

A bunch of people don't like other people and the board was better 2 to 5 years ago. Also a good W_Z joke in there around page 7.

I have no use for anyone and the board sucked 3 years ago, too. I have never been part of the in crowd.

yeah, I don't get that shit, why was the board better two years ago? I went looking through old topics and all i found were "ask so and so questions" threads...

I think it is the Andy Rooney factor... everything looks better in the past, when this place was warm fuzzies, group hugs, and IRS form posts.

This place is a hell of a lot warmer a fuzzier now than it was in the past. When we had guest posting and about 30 active members, the shit hit the fan in practically every thread...complete anonymity breeds wild, wild west type posting. We had it in spades.

I liked that it was more sport/radio oriented. It was pretty entertaining but a little scary at times.

I still don't think there is an in crowd.

Of course you don't, because you're in it.

I don't think so. I get along here okay with a lot of different people most of who(m) don't like each other. Those that do get along I don't see as often as some of them see each other. More people like you than me, that would make you the more popular one, one of the cool kids, part of the in crowd.

Mr. Reason and Spaulding are both part of the cool kids in crowd.

Oh, stop yourself. No one here fantasizes about having sex with me.
However, the same can not be said about you...

I bet a few have fantasies about you. If you were female it would be way more and I'm not convinced you have better breasts anyway. They are just talking, nobody here means what they say about that stuff.

Think about the posters you like and why you like them, chances are a number of others like them for the same reasons, but it has nothing to do with being part of a group. Most everybody here stands on their own during an argument.

Yeah, pummeling me about the face and neck with lead pipes, maybe.

Well, they are real, if not spectacular.

I couldn't beat Dr hayseed in the popularity contest last year. If he and I are part of that in crowd you speak of, then I got news for you...you are right there with us. So there is no crowd. Some people are friends here.

People like your sense of humor and that you are a just man. You have a tough exterior but are an old softee

The quick Cliff Notes on the 9 page thread are as follows:

1.) Mac & Cheese are getting pummelled by Silvy & Waddle in the ratings. In July S&W were beating them nearly 2 to 1.

2.) Mac & Cheese have the lowest ratings of any daytime Score show and are blowing a great lead-in ratings from M&H.

3.) ALSers and othe Mac defenders can't bear to hear it and get worked up.

4.) The clearly troubled and developmentally stunted STU-GOTZ goes overboard on his Mac defense.

5.) People begin to argue the merits of said STU-GOTZ's existence.

6.) Seacrest and Spaulding get into a two or three page back and forth personal battle.

7.) Thread strays from its point and dwindles in its relevance and interest level as people forget its primary point:

8.) Mac's ratings are very bad and the show is in trouble.
