Here me out. I think it's good. Don't dismiss it. You'll like it. It's harmless. You get Phil Simms on as a guest and have W_Z, as a caller, ask him a question doing his Phil Simms. I've heard Simms on Mully and Hanley so it seems he'd agree to an interview. I think Phil comes on local radio shows to promote his "Inside the NFL" show on Showtime. Showtime probably makes him do this. 1. Don't have W_Z call in live. Have him put the question on a digital recording. It's better for radio if it's done without a flaw. Doing it live might ruin it. W_Z might slip up or laugh. Just say we're going to a caller and hit the prepared W_Z question. 2. Phil Simms is dumb. He'll have no idea that somebody is doing him and he'll answer the question seriously. That makes it funny. 3. W_Z will have to do it good. Maybe we can help him in this thread with the question. "Dinver" has to be invoked. It has to be a simpleton like question but not too stupid or Phil might laugh at it and not answer it seriously. A "stating the obvious" type question. W_Z will come up with something good. 4. Do it a few times. Get Phil on every 2 or 3 weeks and have W_Z, as a caller, asking him a question, as Phil Simms, every time. Doing it multiple times makes it more funny. What do you think Mac? You're a long time radio guy. This would be good. You know it. Nobody gets hurt. Get on it. Everybody help Zack with the question. Can't be too long. Make it good. |

I'd rather hear the Phil Simms imitator rather than the real Phil alongside Jim Nantz, let alone Frank Caliendo as John Madden...Those are...HILARIOUS! |
