he's right...what part do you disagree with?
it was a win, but it was fugly. 3 TD's in 8 Quarters...

They were up against a pretty good team. The Steelers have been beating up on everybody over the last 20 games.

There certainly is room for improvement, but they were down 7 at home against the defending Super Bowl champions, and the Bears won.

What NFL team doesn't have something to improve after week 2?

Mac resorting back to piling on the organization as a whole (not the team from this weekend), for letting Cedric Benson, Justin Gage, Tank Johnson (!!???) go... is 100% ridiculous.

Mac's trying to stir emotion, and it's working.

Agree with Frank. The first week was beyond ugly but if you didn't think yesterday was a solid, quality performance against a good team then I don't know what game you were watching. Pittsburgh is one of, if not the best team in football.

There are things to work on but they won that game. It wasn't handed to them. They had to go out in the fourth quarter and make something happen and they did.

Absolutely, I'm totally aware. But I don't think this is what fans are looking for after a big win like that.

I'd rather listen to reaction and analysis of the game. Not analysis of Lovie's tenure.

the Saints...

it's a win and I'm very happy about that...
but it was anything but pretty. Cutler at 104 rating was great...
one sack? one turnover on a bad pass, with the exception of the strip at the end. Tillman is afraid to tackle. there were 4 occassions where Big Ben had 5 seconds to pass the ball. 5 SECONDS!!!
rushing was bad, middle of the field passing D was bad. Jeff Reed missed two field goals...

but, i'm happy they won.

Pretty sure Alex had 2 sacks alone, but not positive.

Anyway, I don't disagree with a single sentence you just wrote about what the Bears need to improve. And I would love to hear them talk about that, but instead Mac is attacking Lovie and the Bears organization over the last 5 years.

Get to the game analysis!!!

Yes, it the STEELERS! They're a good team you know.

I could see the outrage if they played like this against the Lions, or lost at home to the Bengals. But christ they beat the Super Bowl champs, after giving up 150+ yards and 7 points 5 minutes into the game, and you'd think the Bears were just handed a victory and didn't do a goddam thing to earn it.

This sounds tedious and contrived. I'm flipping to Silvy and Waddle (PTFB) to see what they're doing.

Agreed so far. I thought they were awesome last week after the GB game, the best review/discussion of the game I heard between M&H, W&S and B&B. Off to a rough start this week.

This is very sports radio nerdy of me, but I'm listening to Waddle and Silvy on radio and Mac and Spiegs from my phone at the same time.

Not an act guys ..... As he's not a big fan of the organization and Lovie in particular as he wasn't over the top with the win yesterday as we were stuffing our faces with cookies , Fresca and chicken. My stomach is killing me today.

Overall, I am not a huge fan of Lovie/Angleo/Organization as a whole...

But today is not the day to be talking about that!!!

I dont like Lovie & Turner either, but as much as I would like to see them both run out of town, I still root for the Bears & enjoy every victory.
Mac should leave the negativism to Bernsey.

A win is a win and I'm with you Chris. I guess Danny wanted a 45 to 10 Bears blowout to feel better about the win I don't know but they should of won last week and lost and they were a shitty Steelers kicker away from a loss yesterday and won. I'll take a Bears win anyway we can get it.

Am I excited about the win ? No , because they still have many holes and I'm not a fan of Lovie's either or Ron Turner for that matter but I'll take the win and build on that and see where it takes us.

You had two 9 and 7 teams in the Superbowl last year so it doesn't matter to me how we win as long as we get to the playoffs and take it from there.

I'm more excited about the Blackhawks and their propects of winning a Cup in 2009-2010 then the Bears winning a playoff game so my expectations with the Bears are low this year.

Its just a comment Angelo made when discussing his draft philosophy....Basically saying he looks for a guys floor vs his ceiling........

Hey SSE, we're happy for you that you got chicken and fresca at Mac's house, but there were not two 9-7 teams in super bowl last year, Steelers were 12-4. There are big problems with Bears, but they won. As to Mac bitching about the two missed field goals, that is EXACTLY how the Steelers won in week 1, the Titans missed two. A win is a win.
Welcome to the Score, all Mully did was giggle and rant on Bradley. Mac is Mr. Negative, maybe B&B will be somewhat positive?

Thanks for the correction Grid. The men of Steel were 12 and 4 my bad. I forgot to include button 48 on my first post.

Mac does this for effect and sounds like a meathead. Not really entertaining nor insightful.

He's bitching about the win and that Reed couldn't hit FG's. The Cowboys lost in part due to a pass deflecting off Witten's foot and into the Giants DB's hands.

A win is a win regardless of how it's attained. The Bears also played two teams with 3-4 defenses. I imagine they fare better against the Seachickens.

PTFB, no problem.
