Mac said in the 12 o'clock hour that no Bears player should ever tell a fan to "stay away" (re: Wally saying that Bears fans shouldn't boo, and those who are should stay home). I thought it was interesting that Mac then said (paraphrased) "We take criticism here, we don't tell people to stay away."

I thought *for sure* someone was going to post "OH REALLY DAMANAAALLL? WUT ABOUT PTFB!?!?"

but no one did...?

Its almost as if MAC was baiting the board. I see no benefit to him to do that, but its just too coincidental. MAC may not be a genius but he strikes me as someone who thinks about what he says and how people will react. (which i guess all radio hosts should do). I dont know but him saying it and no one here pouncing is weird.

i don't know if there's such a thing as boers *not* overusing something. i haven't laughed at "by cracky" in probably over 2 months. and it's been said hundreds of times since.

It was kinda funny when he first started doing it, what...10+ years ago? As were his rants in which everyone under the sun is a tool, asswipe, raging rectum, etc. Unless you're a brand-new listener it's just kind of embarrassing at this point. A lot of radio shows, especially gimmick, catchphrase, or drop-heavy shows like B&B, MJH, or Mac & Matt tend to quickly kill something that's funny by overusing it.

I guess one positive about Harry is that since he never said anything funny, he never had to worry about overusing something and ruining it.

In fact, I think Mac is becoming rather Bermanesque in both the blustery way in which he speaks and that he's been using the same references, lines, and jokes for years now. I know both guys are popular, but as a listener it gets a little predictable and tiresome when someone starts to become a caricature of themselves.

All here are pretty quick to call someone out - I think it may be more of an indicator that people already have PTFB.

My guess is that those most likely to call him out out this latest example of disingenuous BS didn't hear him say it.
