just picked up my copy this afternoon after work. on page 189 the board, frank, zack, and myself are all mentioned. btw: i've read page 189 about 20 times so far. it's nearly verbatim from what I compiled from the guys, wrote, and edited. pretty sweet. i had to show the chick at Barnes and Noble that "doug from evergreen park" was me. yeah, i'm a dork... thanks Mac. $1.28 of your book earnings are from me. |

Now I'm no 90s music maven like you fellas, but the omission of Stabbing Westward is inexcusable. It's not 'copacetic' with me whatsoever.... The Best Chicago Bands Since '90 (in Mac's Book of Chicago Lists): 5) Local H 4) Ministry 3) Kanye West 2) Wilco 1) Smashing Pumpkins |

there are a few other errors....there's a word or two that doesn't belong when Mac is talking writing about the Bears lineman. I think the word "guard" is in a weird spot if I recall correctly. the Allan Parsons project song for Bulls game intros is incorrectly referred to as "Eye in the Sky." but, it's not. The song is actually called "Sirius." We compiled the list on the board, there was a thread...and yes I picked the #1. when was stabbing westwards last concert? |

I guess that would eliminate The Smashing Pumpkins and Local H too. When a band is playing small venues around the suburbs of Chicago, with half their original lineup, I think there's a problem with your argument. ...and I'm talking about Local H, not ZWAN or what remains of the Smashing Pumpkins. |

Im kind of confused. I answered a question of when Stabbing Westward's last show was. Are you ripping on them, or saying you like them? Either way I don't care, but your post really is confusing. |
