I've not chosen to stay away here because of criticisms directed at the show. I'm not offended by anything written here. Much of it has been hysterical, actually. Envious of B&B? Getting a trimming from W&S? This is a treat to read. I'll have more over the weekend. It'll be time to come out and play again.

I certainly will strive to offend you more deeply, Mac, in my future posts.

Mac,
Do you realize how absolutely brutal the "Ortman" and "Bensmen" references by meatpants are? They have no context. They have no humor. They have no point.

I'd really like to know what exactly is funny about it. A random reference eventually gets annoying and it's been like that for a while.

To be honest, it may be worse than any long running joke by Harry.

No context?
You can't discern the context  :!:
Get out much? Listen to the radio much?

It may well indeed be worn out, but you've gotta be pretty dim to actually not know the context. I'll assume you're feigning ignorance in an effort to further your point.

Here is the thing though. It isn't in reference to a dumb caller or a dumb thought.

It will be something like: "Kyle Ortman was named AFC offensive player of the week" or "The Broncos and Ortman play the Chargers".

I understand it when you are referencing a meatball caller or even if he said "Ortman for MVP!" but just about any reference to Kyle Orton or Cedric Benson gets this.

To be honest, B&B do it correctly. They don't overuse it and you always understand that it has a specific reason. It's like Meatpants hears the name and decides to make the "joke" no matter what.

That I find to be more apt, and I'm much more inclined to agree with it.

I'm not so sure that's really Jurko. It's a cool theory, but I've lost faith in it a bit.

I'm actually attempting to help you over in the Bernsie vs hockey thread ... please don't make it harder than it already is to do so.

STFU about Meatpants. Everyone knows your opinion about him. Your input is clearly not valued by those able to make such a decision. Reposting it ad infinitum ad nauseum will have ZERO effect.

yeah I know what you mean...him NOT denying it keeps it alive. But there are holes in the theory

Its possible, but doubtful

As the founding Father of the anti Meatpants club, I feel that it is my duty to continue to pound this goof.
I don't need any help in the Hockey thread. That one is a no brainer slam dunk!

JOHN KIRK,

stfu about Meatpants. Or put some sort of Anti-meatpants quote in your sig. Then, you won't have to say it every single fucking asinine post you make. Its quite annoying, though we would certainly expect no less from you, John Kirk.

Ah, I suppose there is no gray area huh? I can't be indifferent to a certain host/segment/producer on radio? I either have to lick the asshole of MacPants, or act like a pudwhack the same way you Mac haters do.

Well, consider me a meatpants ALS'er I guess, because I really don't like or dislike him on the air.

I thumbed through it the other day (at a Barnes and Noble) and Mac (or the other guy) ranked the Sox trade of Sammy Sosa to the cubs as the worst in franchise history. The trade that brought that steaming pile of shit to the organization didn't even make the top 10. For fear of doing something I would later regret I gently set the book down and walked away.
