If you don't like listening to "The Danny Mac Show", there's other stuff you could listen to... That's why there's a knob and buttons you can push on your radio if Mac sucks...

His show didn't have any charm to begin with. :P

As for the rest of your pathetic attempt at being funny, my advice would be this:
Try harder to be amusing, and in the meantime, go fuck yourself.

I'm curious what was posted by Mr. Stagecoach. Throw it back up, Big Fan. Words don't hurt. Seeing Patrick slam his head on a ceramic tile floor when he was younger because he couldn't communicate what his needs were did. Seeing the boy wailing, tears streaming down his cheeks, because he ate a piece of pizza before it cooled off did.

"Can I Have Two More Minutes?" my next book, detailing the struggles and triumphs with Patrick, will include some stories of the insensitivities of othes. Among my favorites, a voicemail I got in 2000: "Why don't you let Jerry Manuel worry about the Sox lineup and just go home and shake a rattle for your fat little retard kid?"

Maybe we should start a thread making fun of parents whose children succumbed to neuroblastoma while we're at it. Leukemia. MD. Let's touch 'em all. Nothing tickles the funny bone more than seeing a defenseless child imprisoned by something he/she didn't choose.

I'm sure by now, words don't even affect Mac as he probably brushes them aside because of the REAL pain and joy it takes to raise a kid with those challanges. I couldn't even fathom the responbilities and hardships it takes to raise a child with special needs, kudos to all parents who do this. Man Mac, for a second there while reading parts of the story it almost brought a tear to my eye. Kids don't choose that, and for the people who want to poke fun or be damn right insulting, there is a special place waiting for you.

It's done, let it rest. No good will come of it.

Being a parent is difficult.

Can I Have Two More Minutes? - sounds good.

stagecoach was only saying the worst possible things to see what would happen.

it's called trolling, and it happens all the time on the internet.

which is why we need moderators...

Mac - I can't pretend to know or to understand what it is like to raise a child with special needs and I am sorry for the pain that insensitive assholes have caused you. Some things should just always be off limits on boards such as family and especially defenseless children who have done no wrong to anyone ever.

It's all so easy for everyone to say "oh it's just a message board" or "it's just words", but words can far too often sting and do carry emotion and intent, even more so to me than things that are verbally said - words are often spoken without thought; writing takes time to plan out exactly what you want to say so in a way to me, it's worse when it's written.

I don't know if you believe in karma Mac, but I do. Sooner or later the people that decide to pick on defenseless children or innocent people will get their karma in plenty. This stagecoach piece of shit, whether he knows it or not, will have to face something in his life that will make him regret ever doing something to "get a rise" out of people for entertainment purposes.

A moderator would be like bigfan lite...limited powers of thread and post deletion.

I'll say this : I'll be interested in looking at that book, a lot more than the "book of lists". It sounds like it might have some interesting substance. Much more intriguing

Mac, you've just confirmed my suspicion that there are way too many assholes on this planet. I know crap like that shouldn't bother me, but it does. I'd be a hermit if it weren't I'd miss hockey so much :)
