It all makes sense now. The Trib needed that money from the Cubs sale to pay Danny Mac to get out of bed. |

The Danny Mac Show beats S&W in the ratings. Mike North gets a network tv deal. Dan McNeil gets a better writing gig. My guess is that a few posters here are having a bad 36 hours. |

Huge fan of Mac on the radio. Disappointed fan of Mac as a writer. |

Probably no way he is coming to a lowly bowling event now. |

Or that somehow we have slid into the antimatter universe. |

It certainly could have nothing to do with you being wrong and still being a tool. |

How many ratings books has this been? I believe I predicted (and I said it like I meant it) that in 3 ratings books that Dan would surpass S & W. I might have been too optimistic but I wasn't far off. I think we will see these ratings see saw over the next 6 months as both have their negatives and both have their appeals. When Silvy is being too whiny and Waddle too vanilla the people will PTFB. When Meat is being too gameshowy and Mac is being obtuse, people will PTFB. I like aspects of both shows, but lean more toward Mac and Meat. |

For the record, FOX32's Corey McPherrin was pressed into service when Spiegs' fill-in today, Laurence Holmes, got sick overnight. LoHo is supposed to fill in tomorrow afternoon for Bernstein, and I believe he's supposed to have the PBP Saturday afternoon when DePaul visits Vanderbilt on that unusual-looking court in Nashville on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. |

No, he did not mind (thankfully) but it put me in a weird spot for a minute. Please continue with the hype machine on all other fronts tho. |

Unless his column has an RSS feed, I won't be reading it. I don't buy the Trib, and don't go to their website. |
