Heh, Quenneville's career Stanley Cup playoff record vs Detroit: 6-20 as a head coach. Including 1-8 between 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs (when Quenneville was coaching the Avalanche) and 2009, his first season as the Blackhawks coach, when Quenneville's Hawks got bounced 4 games to 1 by the Wings. It's early, early, but if the Blackhawks face Detroit in the Stanley Cup playoffs, Quenneville's playoff futility against Detroit (losing again would be 6 series defeats and 3 years in a row) will no doubt be a story-line. |

If things hold up at all (and there's a lot of ice between here and April), this could the first Stanley Cup playoffs Quenneville faces the Wings (if that happens) as the higher seed with home ice advantage. |
