So much fun and great to see many of you last night. Many thoughts.

* Doug, the band was tight! As I told you last night (once I pulled you away from your admiring lady fans... nice) I really liked the drumminess.... and a bass player that fast as a "plucker" instead of a picker.

* Loved the Double Door. Classic old school dump with a lot of history. Stones have gigged there a bunch and it's a comfortable, non-clubby joint. Bartenders were quick and always available. Chick at the door, however, as unfriendly as they get. Maybe she read what I wrote about Spaulding.

* One of my lasting impressions in spmack sippin' on a Pabst Blue Ribbon longneck. We're all crackers at heart.

* Enjoyed Frank C. telling us he had to leave (about 9:30) 'cuz he had a date. Frank was wearing a Brewers hat. How was the drive to Kenosha, buddy?

* RPB, you don't lack for energy. Nice to hang with ya and talk some shit.

* Original Kid Cairo can sing! But he has the white guy no ass more than any other brother I've met. Nice meeting Rose, who admires the gluteal region of Reggie Bush.

* Doug gave us "two tickets to the gun show" in the middle of the act. I was the guy holding up the Bic lighter after seeing those hooks.

* Bagels is quite the socializer. Anytime you wanna talk NBA, I'm available. Send me a PM about the playoff race as we get closer.

* My "thinking about going gay" friend was among the four Indiana clowns I brought. Who wants to guess which one it was?

* Who wants to guess which board member piqued his curiosity as a potential date?

* Enjoyed talking about autism with Doug's mom.... who could pass as Doug's sister. Very well preserved. For those of you who don't know, Doug's autistic brother passed away. My conversation with Mrs White was the most (and probably only) really "meaningful" one of the night. It was supposed to be a silly, good guy night and it was, but that talk was a good moment.

* Bigfan, you were a hoot as always. Enjoyed the walk down Milwaukee with ya.

* I still want to quit smoking, but there is connection among smokers who have to stand out in the cold and shiver together. Friends for life, I think.

* I'm sure I'll think of more.... but that's the starter kit.

Thought of a few more highlites....

* You know how you have this mental picture of what somebody looks like when you only know them electronically? Darkside is much more rugged looking than I would have guessed. I mean in a good way.... like a fisherman and hunter or something. In fact, next time I take a new job and go to Canada four weeks in, I'm taking Darkside. Mrs. Darkside, while conversational and cool, can't come.

* Eaglo, I appreciate the reminder that smoking is bad for me. I've been thinking about seeking a second opinion 'cuz I don't trust my cardiologist. We'll have to hit Three Floyds again as it is a non smoking establishment (to my chagrin).

Sure, you have a "friend" "thinking about going gay."

He was my guess before last night. Couldn't help but think about Vito Spatafore of The Sopranos and your buddy. He was being quite friendly with me, I noticed.....good people and very likeable. :) Am I right about this Mac?

Degenerate Dave? Mostly on account of the building he offered to meet shakes at for their rendezvous.

Do never let that phrase slip to either the woman in question or another female who'll report what you said to said woman.

Freshman year in college, my first college gf. Her mom comes to town and we go out to dinner etc. After we drop her mom off at her hotel (no room in the dorms for 'rents),
and we're driving back to the dorms, the gf asks me for my impression of her mother. I used that very phrase "well-preserved" w/r/t her late 40's or maybe early 50's mother. EPIC FUCKING FAIL. The gf--THAT NIGHT--calls her mother and informs her of my "well-preserved" comment. First thing her mother says to me the next day when I see her is "well preserved?!?" And she proceeds to riff on that throughout the duration of her visit. Image Eh, I was only 18. Live and learn.

I don't think we took very many....not any group ones at least (that I know of). :(

I know that Darko and DW took some along with a Darko and Bigfan pic in the photo booth which Camps was able to recover (we thought it didn't take, slow machine). I took one of PA playing early on, but then I got too drunk and too into the show to worry about pics. I was trying to get the whole group hoppin' and rockin', but I failed.

Does this open the door to a possible Bagels NBA portion of the show? I would like to
hear a Bagels vs. Goff portion. Could be radio gold.

Hey! I was wearing baggy pants...you couldn't really tell. I have more ass than you think.

And I already allowed Rose her Reggie Bush "ass admiration", but she gave my my Rosario Dawson "ass admiration" so we're even.

Let's sing the melody straight from our hearts,
Let us sing it together, don't never, ever stop.
Let's add the harmony straight from our souls,
'Cause if we sing together,
We sing together,
We sing, we sing.

Getting there wasn't the problem, Doug...The Double Door is public transportation accessible, but I don't drive and getting home could've been tough if Passive Aggressor's set ran into the wee hours of the morning. Many buses stop running after a certain time at night, and in case anyone has not read or heard, the CTA is reducing service on a number of buses & "L" trains come February 7th.
