Why not just wait for the roast. Then he can say the meanest stuff he can think of and Terry will have to laugh...like a scene from Hamlet.

What exactly did Boers say.

He bitched about Mac wanting a table for eight at the B&B roast.

i have neither the time nor the inclination to hold the hand of a man approaching 60 who acts like a child of 12.

Wow. Mac just ripped Boers big time. This could get ugly. No way Terry participates in this roast now.

Mac sounds (appropriately) rather disheartened and perhaps even truly hurt ... most unfortunate for him, given he didn't "do" anything to warrant it.

It's like my boss was listening to the Score in his office and came over to my desk right when that started.

Can't wait for the podcast

Transition is neither going to start nor end well Today. Wouldn't be surprised if TB boycots completely...Mac and Teddy G may now have even more in common.

mac played the uncomfortable boers 3 minute rant

mac explained that he was asked by mitch to help build comradery around the station. mitch asked him to talk to terry to get him "on board" with the roast.

said he was trying to set up a silent auction to go toward charity of B&B's chosing

then said the hand-holding comment above

meatpants was trying to calm him down, saying terry was "misunderstanding" and thought that mac wanted the table for FREE.

I didn't think he lit up Bores all that much but you can tell Mac is upset with him which I think is warranted. I don't like how Speigel is trying to be a peacemaker.

Is there anyone with thinner skin than Boers? He is always at the center of all of the stupid feuds. It's always someone else's fault.

After hearing the 3 minute clip again it seemed like boers was pissed regardless of how the table was paid for. If Mac knows the most people from Terry's past, then he is probably flipping out knowing that there could be 7 people from his past coming to roast him.

Boers rant about Macs table for 8 doesn't even make sense? What exactly is his problem with it? Terry never explained himself.
Boers will back out of the roast & it will be canceled.

Dare I ask if this is a (logical) supposition or more of a "hint"?

This was some good radio. Speigal should have let him roll, though. We get to hear a little "behind the scenes" stuff and the fact that Terry needs/needed to be talked into doing the Roast, which says a lot. Terry being so against the Roast means he will be Capt. LameAss at it and probably sit there like a bump on a log and not contribute much....which he has plenty of practice doing from 1-6pm every day on 670 the Score.

I hope transition is interesting and uncomfortable today because that would make my drive to work all the better.

And it does sound like Terry knows Mac is going to pay but he just is pissy about Mac getting a table either way. He say there and whined, bitched, and moaned for several minutes about it all the while Bernsie continued to tell him that Mac was going to pay for the table.

Good stuff.

that's what you do when you are being roasted...sit there and take it.

how has bernsie been able to maintain a relationship with him all these years? i mean, boers winds up hating anyone he comes into contact with........except for bernsie.

Just throwing it out as a possibility. Not trying to over-hype it, thing is nothing with Terry would surprise any of us. Webstream is the place to be @ 1 in case dump button is employed.
