Elmhurst Steve's comments were about The "Who" being old. I have to agree. Getting "over 60" rockers on stage is asking for trouble. The NFL needs to go younger,no doubt. I'm not a fan of the WHO but thought they did fine.

That's the kind of insight that gets "The Brand" fast-tracked to the front of the line...

Further proving what an idiot he is, one of his suggestions for "going younger" was Sheryl Crow. Who will turn 48 on Thursday of this week

Cradle Robber steve!

The old rocker is just sad. Watching springsteen try and jump up on stage is creepy!

Saw Jerry Lee Lewis at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, watch the end of this! OMG!

Fast Forward to the 2:15 mark, the bench toss is precious

Unfortunately, because of the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake "wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl down in Houston and the fact CBS got fined big time by the FCC, I don't think classic rockers are about to go away anytime soon. With FOX Sports getting next year's Super Bowl XLV in the house that Jerry (Jones) built in Arlington, TX, I predict that the Lone Star State's very own ZZ Top and/or Texas native Don Henley and the Eagles will be your Super Bowl halftime entertainment.

not a chance...it's gonna be some Country garbage. ZZ Top is not "big" enough.

It's gonna be Kenny Chesney or Carrie Underwood.

Disagree.

They're all going to be dead soon.

I am envisioning Willie Nelson and either Kenny Chesney or Garth Brooks pairing. Probably has to go country.

Kenny Chesney has played football stadiums, including Soldier Field, Doug...You might be right on Kenny, but I wouldn't count out ZZ Top, The Eagles, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and other marquee rock & country acts big enough for some 100,000 fans next year sure to pack the new Cowboys Stadium.

I predict - Kenny Chesney / Brad Paisley / Carrie Underwood.

Best half-time show ever as they won't need to pull these people out of the grave to give them any "audio assistance" to hit their best notes.

ZZ Top did it back in 1996 in New Orleans.

Lots of hate towards country music today...I enjoy it but I enjoy all music. If I could play an instrument I would like to learn the piano...are you ever too old to learn an instrument?

I don't hate country music...I hate today's crap that is passed off for country music...nothing more than pop with a fucking accent...

Really the only country I've been able to stomach is Johnny Cash and Hank Williams (SR.)...and possibly Willie Nelson

ZZ Top is still not big enough for a Super Bowl.
Garth Brooks has an exclusivity contract with a Vegas casino. He's not going anywhere for 5 years.
the Eagles...meh. I really don't need to hear a 2 minute version of Hotel California...
Shania...Is she even doing anything currently?

Brad Paisley makes a little more sense.

You are never too old to learn an instrument.

Shania Twain should be on "American Idol" as Paula Abdul's replacement, Doug, not Ellen DeGeneres...

Yup, and this is why I think they could tie the only living old guy country singer/song writer with some new country blood.

It is only 10 or so minutes. It is too bad that the man in black is no longer with us. That would have been a great 10 minutes.

The guy who gave my son guitar lessons insisted that Brad Paisley is amazing and he didn't even like country music. But, we shoudn't try any Paisley songs because "we had to respect Brad Paisley".

I just thought it was pretty funny. I do like Brad Paisley. RESPECT.

I agree a lot of the female singers are more pop (Carrie & Taylor) but most of the male singers and groups are still country.

I've heard John "Rock" Mamola on his Saturday night show w/Joe Ostrowski mention the likes of AC/DC, Metallica and other even harder-edge rock bands possibly playing halftime of a future Super Bowl. I'd be all for those bands, but I doubt the NFL and the network carrying the Super Bowl would agree. When it gets to Indianapolis the year after in 2012, barring a work stoppage, I think Indiana's own John Mellencamp is the easy choice.
