My favorite memory was when Kenny called him out for needing money and begging for advances. That was really... something.

Some of the tape measure homers. I remember him hitting the catwalk at Tropicana Field the first time he was down there.

I remember the pinch hit shot in Colorado in 05

I remember how afraid the Blue Jays were of pitching to him in 93 that he had something like 4 official at-bats in 6 games

Jumping out of the way of a called third strike, then glaring back at the umpire as Hawk complained for him. This happened two, maybe three times a week or so.

When Kenny handed the WS trophy to him in front of the 6 million people at the White Sox Championship Parade. Dude looked like he was almost going to cry.

Was it a HR?

RFDC, you're right. If it were Sosa, I either would have said when his boombox got smahsed, or the first time he shot the juice up his ass.

It was a triple at County Stadium...I just happened to be at the game.

Since I have absolutely no love whatsoever for the white sox it would have to be back when I was in 8th grade on spring break in Sarasota. We went to check out a game and I got his autograph. I already have ripken jr's autograph on the ball so for many years I questioned this youthful decision, but It turns out that he is in good company after all.

Let me tell you Wimpy, these big guys, they just don't see the inside of the plate as well. These umps have got to understand that. One and two on Robin, he's 1-4 today with a single.

The only one swinging and missing here IB is you. Thomas used to rip inside pitches for doubles to the LF corner all the time.

CHICAGO _ Frank Thomas is still fuming over a called third strike in the first inning of Sunday night's loss to Seattle.

"The first at-bat set the tone for everything," Thomas said, reiterating a complaint that umpires have routinely been calling inside pitches strikes when he is at the plate this season. {Editor's interjection- :lol:}

The Sox had runners at first and third with nobody out when home-plate umpire Mark Wegner rang up Thomas.

"Me striking out right there changed the whole ballgame. I am not happy about it," Thomas said.

You're right. I stand corrected.

It really is a shame when a guy has all the talent in the world and is a huge tool. Frank should have owned Chicago.

My favorite Frank Thomas moment will be when he dons a Sox cap upon his first-ballot induction into the MLB Hall of Fame.

While most people elect to think of:

Frank's foot in his mouth
Frank's scab labor building his mansion
The 'Jackie Robinson' situation
The squabble with David Wells
The strip club rumors
The divorce
The 'divorce' from the White Sox

...this White Sox fan elects to remember the tape measure HRs, and the greatest White Sox hitter in my lifetime. ...and I'm glad that he won a World Series ring with the Sox, and was a contributor during that season before he got hurt.

Frank was also one of the few (if not the only) MLB players that cooperated with the Mitchell Report investigation: http://www.bizofbaseball.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=49

While I hope Frank is a first ballot HOFer, he was a D.H. and that may make it more challenging for him. He'll get some bonus points with the voters for voluntarily cooperating with the Mitchell Report investigation.

Terrible video game. He should be excluded from the Hall of Fame just for that. I guess Griffey should be too. :?
