Observations: 1. In the hour+ that I listened, Mac sounded like he was trying to draw out some more pugilistic banter from Larry to feed the discussion going on in another thread. Too hilarious if true; depressing if false. 2. Listening to grown men talk about drugs / drug use in any arena is pretty sad (excepting certain scenarios, like say you're living in a yurt out in the weeds on the wrong side of I-35 because your Airstream broke down along the highway and you were on a VisionQuest anyway so, hey, why not just bunk down in a yurt for a while?), and especially so on sports talk radio. Larry's position is commendable the less he says about it, but all too often I hear him go on at length on a topic which he admittedly has little to no experience with. If anything, it sounds like he's got the juvenile mentality of, "hey, drugs are awesome, right?" without ever having tasted the sweet nectar. DannyMac on the other hand... come on, dude. Way beyond Button 48 territory several times in that interlude. I can't be mad at you for some of what you had to say because it's just too comical and suits your persona, but I do think you should have listened to whatever instinct you had to drop the subject and move on. |

Remember when sports talk radio shows used to actually focus on talking about sports? Neither do I. But I bet it was better back then. |

I know people knock Mike Francesa, but last year during the mlb playoffs last season I had a vested interest in the Yankees, and I listened every day, and got in on some pretty good interviews and analysis. |

Teddy having to explain poker to Dan was god awful. If Mac was a square, and it had been 2001 I'd have had a little more compassion, but ffs Mac is the resident degenerate gambler. how do you not know the concept of texas hold 'em? |

Missed it, but I have to agree - hold 'em is one of the easier card games to comprehend. |

If someone gets Mac to show up to next CSFMB poker, count me in. You know he would bring a couple G's to the table, and drop it all in about 30 minutes. |

I'd rather sit at the airport and bet on flights. |
