Isn't it coming up? What's gonna happen? Do they discuss it on the air?

Moves to afternoons with Bernstein. Holmes gets 9:00-1:00 with Koslowski.

That would be horrible.

I could deal with Mac and Bernstein.

Laurence with retired former Bear A already happened, and it sucked. :x

My guess is Larry and former Bear B would also suck :bom:

They're gonna give Larry another try with a different Bear? First a dumb red neck and now a dumb Pollock? No way Mitch is that stupid. Plus I don't think he would pair Mac and Bernstein. They're the station's most talented drivers. It would be stupid not to use both of them for 2 slots. Plus Mac would punch Bernstein after their first month together.

Beardown, when is the end of your deal with posting on this board? Soon I hope....

I can tolerate your dumb ass when you're not race baiting or youtubing us to death.

I know. You've said that 1000 times. What if I were to "you bait" and "racetube"?

Mac & Berns would suck. I still think Meatpants gets reassigned as the Scores Baseball guy once Cowley leaves for AM1000, & perhaps Goff finally gets a chance to co-host with Mac.
I hope like hell that Mitch doesn't give Koslowski a daily air shift.

I'm trying to figure out Mitch. Maybe he believes he needs a Image to match ESPN's Image

Amazing, right? Maybe that's what he's thinking. Spada seems to know stuff. It's such a dumb way of looking at things that we shouldn't put it past a radio PD or GM.

Can't see them not locking Mac up long term after what he has done with that time slot. This is bar far the best the Score has been in awhile.

I too though, am interested to see what happens. I expect Mac and Meat stay together... but unless I missed some news, isn't Terry taking the summer off? If so, I pray they don't give a spot to Laurence.

It's about time they give Goff a chance. If this board is even a sliver of a sample size of the listeners, Goff would be well received.

I think they will be back together. At most I could see them adding a permanent revolving 3rd host.

I hope you're not right...Mac and Goff would be a shoutfest with a race to see who gets the most words in pre-heart attack

What if they put Ron Rivera and Mike Murphy in that timeslot? They could give it a clever name like "Chico and the Murph" or something like that.

Mac did drop a date on the air for pending renewal. sounded confident, didn't remember the date.

Don't need a 3rd man in

It's more and more obvious every day that there is no burning desire to re-up Mac. He cares less and less about the show every day, if that's possible.

Rosenbloom sounds decent today and Mac is uncharacteristically deferring to him, which is good. It is obvious that Mac doesn't even know that much about hockey or what is going on around the league when he has a guy like Rosenbloom there. Mac is just plain lazy and tries to get by on the shuckin' and jivin'. It works for some meatballs but not most which is why he gives up so much of the base that M&H deliever to him. Renewal may not be his choice.

You guys probably have a little Mac voodoo doll that you beat up with tiny little hockey sticks.

Were Mac's ratings significantly better than Murph's?

I'm sure they'll fuck it up somehow. That's what PD's in Chicago do...they fuck up.

Post subject:  Re: The end of Mac's and Meat's one-year-deal?

Mac's ratings are currently much better than Murph's were for the last several years. He gets a big audience from M&H and loses a chunk of it. B&B gets some of it back in the afternoon. North and Murph never had ratings, even at their peaks like M&H and Mac have had this past year.

I'm pretty sure Murph still beat whoever MVP had on even with North on in the mornings, I know I remember that just because it always surprised me.

He admitted as much on the show yesterday. He doesn't care about the league and only cares to watch/pay attention to hockey when the Hawks are doing well. His metaphor or whatever it was (?) about the deformed baby being still retarded was pretty weak.

You are correct. I was speaking about absolute ratings comparing Mac and Murph as well as North and M&H.

Yeah, I only lasted 18 minutes yesterday before PTFBing.

Even so, not knowing that Detroit is making a strong run, come on? You're on a Chicago sports talk station and hold yourself out as the hockey guy...read the frigging paper

Strange choice of wording if that's what he said...especially given the circumstances.
