I do kind of agree. A lot of sport related comments are now taken to Facebook and Twitter rather than to here. The amount of actual sport talk on CSFMB has died down lately and the "other" sections are certainly taking over. |

I have a lot of people here friended on FB and don't see many sports related posts and certainly not any discussions. Maybe the hosts have some running conversations on their posts on FB, but I prefer arguing with the meatballs I know instead of the ones I don't. |

hmmm...i heard this while in the shower (no I was not masturbating, i'm doing that now...) I have no idea what that means. If the 'sportswriters' are posting on twitter and facebook, how does that have any effect on what we do here? We make this board move...not radio hosts and columnists. |

No, he's right. Message boards are a dying medium. It's a shame, too, as I think it's a far more versatile modality of communication than Facebook or Twitter. You can go short, you can go long, you can speak in jpegs, you can practically write essays, you can be yourself, you can play a character. It's a shame, but the Internet evolves. Remember Usenet? Chat rooms? |
