Spoken by one Dan McNeil a little while ago on the very vanilla Danny Mac Show. McNeil...I know that sucking in carbon monoxide can cause serious brain damage and even death, but memory loss?? I know your in love with your car, but remove your lips from it's tailpipe. Were you at opening day LAST MONDAY??? 77 degrees...sun shining..hardly a cloud in the sky ring a bell?? I know you probably have to pander to the Cub fans at your remote, but today is no match for last Monday. I've been around for 34 years and I can't remember an opening day that had weather as perfect as last Monday.

Len Gabrielson was the guy that took over for Lou Brock on the Cubs. FYI, Mac.

uh...i heard that too and I think there were enough context clues to realize he was talking about Wrigley Field opening days.

b/c we all know the opening day 2006 at the Cell was the best opening day ever.

When the argument is "our opening day had nicer weather," the cross town debate has officially struck rock bottom.

As Doug pointed out, the best opening day is when a Championship banner is displayed (see 13 April, 2010).

It has nothing to do with Sox vs. Cubs.....I don't get involved in that garbage. Last I checked, they played in different leagues. Even if the the Sox had lost, it was an unbeliveable day for early April baseball. It seems like every opening day the weather is cold, gray and occasionally snowy. All I am saying is that last Monday was superb compared to today, weather wise. I just found it odd hearing that from McNeil, seeing how he was at the Cell and the weather was how it was. There is way too much supposition and conjecture on this board, but then again what message board doesn't have that?

Sorry...I don't know who Degenerate Dave is. I was on here 4 years ago as koach klaus, posted a couple of times and that was it. I've always looked around the boards to see what was going on with each show, but didn't start posting again till recently.

The board was too advanced for him. We've clearly regressed back to a level in which he feels comfortable posting

Most clever indeed ... naturally, Stephen Hawking can and should be pluralized given that only he can truly comprehend the theoretical concept of multiple concurrent six-dimensional planar universes.

Vanilla?

I thought they were shooting for 'edgy'.

Nothing says edgy like 'golf talk'.
