Mac is all over the K.C. Johnson/Yahoo story that tells the tale of a pissed off John Paxson and his attempt to provoke a disinterested Vinny Del Negro. -Mac is calling for Paxson's head on a pike. -Mac wants the Bulls to lose tonight so they can get on with the off-season. -Emailers and Speigs keep trying wring some info out of Mac about his experience concerning tussles with co-workers he "didn't want to be around all the much". Mac was actually pretty candid about this and it gave an interesting edge to things. I do find the Paxson/Vinny angle to be more interesting than the actual Bulls at this point. Vinny was the 3rd choice w/ no coaching exp., Paxson slinks off to the shadows and hides behind Gar Foreman bc he doesn't like the heat, Vinny isn't fired and is instead left completely flapping in the wind. Vinny plays Noah a bit too much a while back against the Blazers and he re-injures his foot. An arbitrary min. limit is installed. Vinny than gets in trouble for going over the limit by a few min. Vinny than get's in trouble for staying under the limit. Fucking text messages are exchanges via Lindsey "The Emissary" Hunter about letting Noah play more....Vinny continues to sit Noah....bedlam ensues. |

Fuckin' dork, change your pizza place to something simple. The quicker the NBA and NHL season gets over the better. The Bulls would be better served in getting a lottery pick than playing an extra 4 games against the Cavs this season. |

Your thoughts here are asinine. |

I agree with Frank. The Bulls are better off in the lottery with a shot to get Cousins or Turner than to get summarily hammered in the playoffs. |

I felt today's show was one of the best regarding 'journalism'. Beat reporters walk a fine line. We see it with the Bears constantly. Everybody knows that the locker room is a mess, Jerry and Lovie are at odds, yet nobody reports on it. You hear it AFTER the fact usually. You hear Laurence criticizing Lovie and his BS demeanor constantly now, but not so much when he was the beat reporter. I'd imagine you have to report, but you can't be TOO critical of the team or coaches, otherwise your Steve Stone getting yelled at on a plane with the entire team snickering. Then again, Stone was employed by the Cubs. I thought it was a good move to bring the Tribune's editor in also. Mac was way out in front in questioning John Paxson's competence a few years ago, so he's got every right to pound on his chest a bit today. The most endearing thing Pax had early on was the fact that he was the opposite of Jerry Krause. He was friendly with the media, he wasn't a fat slob, and he seemed to be a pretty normal guy. Welcome to reality. |

Actually, I think that the Milwaukee Bucks got the rights to switch draft picks with the Bulls in the John Salmons trade. But I too am not sure that the drubbing they are about to receive, will be of any great benefit. |
