I'm sure he does

He does care about the Bulls in a jealous sense, he has admitted as much in the past.

Johnny's email retort to him was pretty good, as was Mac making fun of Johnny's possible financial situation claiming his 150 dollar donation was probably his car payment. Of course he back pedals saying he is a changed man, has bigger priorities and he hates "hearing himself like that". Cry me a river! Kudos to Speigs for pressing him on it and explaining Johnny's/other annoyed peoples side of it. If/when the Blackhawk's lose....it is going to be a hell of show.

So he doesn't give a "rats ass" about the Bulls, Cubs, college basketball and his thoughts banter on baseball is usually just a breather for him in-between jerking off watching old 1991 Blackhawk's high-lights....what will fill the time when the Hawks are done?

I prefer jerking off to the 1992 blackhawks...

...then again, when I watch hockey, I'm a Penguins fan.

I prefer jerking off to former Sauk American Indian war chief Black Hawk.

But, then, I went to Illinois.

I've heard stories back in the day about when the good Dr. wore his own costume and headdress while parading around as Chief Illinilick ... but this is a family board ... or something.

Come on, OOgie... level with us, sporto. Were you decked out in a Bucky Badger get-up while giving her a thrill ride? Was "On Wisconsin" playing on your Onkyo cassette player? Were you Sparty the love hammer? Brutus would be an "I must have him" look for any self respecting young concubine. Give it up, OOgs. We want every detail.

I once obtained the role of mascot at the small college I attended. The regular guy was going home for the weekend and this was for a womens basketball game. So he dropped off the suit and head the night before and of course I tried it on. Yes, the little women I was seeing at the time requested servicing with the head on!

Wasn't this an episode of Entourage?

They're not the only sportsradio show doing this doug... it's called evolution.

It's become too 'statty' also. Nothing like listening to Spiegs and Bernsie gush about baseball stats during transition. It's like listening to a couple of grown men having a circle jerk while playing with their slide rules. Keep it.

Do you even have to talk like Mac? "Keep it". You're like a 12 year old boy following around his female high school next door neighbor. "Hey Mac, just wondering what you are up to." "Hey Mac, I know I'm only allowed to talk to you once per day at work, but I have something you just have to hear!" "Hi Mac, saw this article, I want to post it here in you section so that you definitely see it."

it's called something...evolution is not what I would call it.

I'm not sure what IB's point is.

The point is that I've gotten tired of the endless ass-kissing and borderline dementia that this goofball represents. "Keep it" indeed.

Notice the quotation marks. Those little doohickeys signify that I am quoting someone else... in this case, you. It was a reference to your need to mimic your mancrush in every way possible.

So do you long for the days when people communicated via carrier pigeon Pony Express?

My point was: If contributors didn't feel like waiting on hold to pass a thought on to a sportsradio show, they used to fax in their thoughts a decade ago, then they emailed the past several years, and now they text. It's called evolution.

If that 'observation' is 'ass kissing' then I guess I'm the CEO of Ass Kissing Inc.

My point is that there is never a moment in which you are not either explicitly or tacitly stoking your BFF Mac. "Don't you just hate hosts that talk about numbers? I prefer a guy that just shoots from the hip most of the time. You know what type of guy I'm talking about?"

Your entire persona -- excuse me, personas, plural -- is built upon getting Mac's attention and soothing his ego. If Mac likes it, you like it. If Mac says it, you say it. Everything you do, say, write, is calculated and weighed against one question: "would Dan McNeil like this?"

And once again, I point out, you've extended "characters" you created in order to talk with your pal Mac to other areas of life, including various message boards and even Facebook, like these are real people. They are fictions, not only used for anonymity purposes, but specifically to facilitate easier communication with Dan McNeil.

I mean, its one thing for Frank or Slapass Ed or Stu-Gotz to slobber all over their favoritest radio personality of all time. In fact, I've grown to find their posts somewhat amusing, if only for their predictability. Your shtick goes so far beyond that point that it comes back to normal and back into demented again. The chart cannot measure the strangeness of it all.

A week or 2 ago, you told me to simply "Let it go"

You need to practice whatever it is that you try to preach.

Sorry, I guess I'm wrong, and Grid Beef Slick Linda Timber is completely normal. After all, who wouldn't want to structure their life around a midday sports radio host?

I for one structure my life around Scott Van Pelt and find it very rewarding.

You are spending way to much mental energy on this.

That's what makes it entertaining.
