"The search for perfection is a funny thing, at least as I've been told
It drives you nuts, it makes you curse and eats away at your soul
Sometimes better ain't better, sometimes justice just ain't served
Sometimes legend isn't laid where it's most deserved."

"But humanity is flawed as the losers will attest
We're drawn to tragic stories, the ones that suit us best
But for 12 innings on that fateful day, old Harvey was a God
A perfect game if nothing else because perfection's always flawed"

I guess McCaughey is gonna have to update his song. He needs Buehrle and Braden in there. But I don't think you can "add Galarraga to the list". An umpire's mistake is one of the things that makes pitching a perfecto so difficult. It isn't just the player's that get tight. Cue Hawk talking some crazy shit about greased tees.

Good call on the 5th member of REM, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWOpBwwpVfA

But...you forgot Roy Halladay's perfect game!

I think the cover of McCaughey's Minus 5's 'Down with Wilco' was photographed about 20 feet South of Division on the West side of Damen:

just North of the Rainbo.

Yeah, I did. It seems there's one of those things about every week now. One thing for sure. Nobody will forget Galarraga.

I agree. It's almost better that he was robbed of a perfecto by piss-poor umpiring than to be lost among the surfeit of perfect games this season.

Plus, dude handled it way cooler than, say, Roger Clemens would have handled it.
