I have felt this from the start, but hearing them re-play a few more mock songs just has me over the top.

I seriously cannot stand Spiegel's "talk-singing" voice - i.e. sounds just like his talking voice, but with just the slightest bit of harmony.

I really do not respect "talk-singers" as a whole anyway - to me they all sound like "Dick Cheese".

Every time he sings, I just think of that dopey FeldCo Windows commercial (his jingle)

Thus, I do not consider him a "real" singer and I have very little respect for his pipes.

Even successful "pseudo-talky" guys like Weiland, Vedder and Scott Stapp have an undeniable presence as well.

Your guy has none of that.

In pure "Spiegs-like Fashion", My uninvited $0.02 would be to "Mustaine/Pete Best" the singer so you guys can move up in the world.

The more I hear him the more I think he is a younger Harry. He brings really nothing but my urge to change the channel. He is supposed to be a baseball savant ,yet I hear nothing of that except he likes the game. Big deal so do I but you need to be able to talk about it and be knowledgeable more than the guys calling in.

So this is going to be one of those split/multiple topic threads I can see. 1) Speigel has a great singing voice. 2) P.A. is a very good band, but I kind of know what Panther is saying (sorry Doug). There's just a different kind of mix with what you guys are playing musically, compared to what's being sung, IMO. Maybe it's just a new and different thing that people need to get used to. It's kind of heavy meets emo. If that's what you're going for, I suppose then it works. Just an honest critique here, Doug. Now feel free to rip the hell out of the SH&S.

You don't know all that this singer does. I heard his work in other bands that was CONSIDERABLY different from the style he sings in now. It was fucking great. But enough of that.
