Mustard Brats- Lotsa hype, lotsa build up, but they performed. They become finger food for me at this event.

Red Ancho Chile Marinated Tacos - Miska, underappreicated in the effort. Maybe it doesn't play for this group, bbut my guy had the marinated skirt steak, chopped onion, cilantro, chihuaca cheese and even a lime for that perfection touch. Needed the steamer for the corn tortillas, but that stuff was right on!

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus- Fact, anything in Bacon is quality, but the Maple Bacon burns a little quick due to the sugar content. Might wanna go thick cut, applewood smoked. Still good.

Blue Gill - I could eat that shit all day! Nice spice, don't need any dipping sauce. Needed bigger bites! And next year, Buzz Bait Brian needs better location!!!!

Rice Krispie Treats and some Mini Brownie thing by a K Sayers, excellent. I actually was going to smuggle some ice cream and forgot it! Needed the sweet ender!

You guys can comment on the ribs, and come to my place one day when it opens!

Did I miss something?

Man, I missed a whole bunch here, but your ribs hit the spot! Got to try Dave's tacos....you're right about the shells, but still tasty.

I just can't believe I helped Spiegel set up the damn grill and I forgot to have some of his bacon asparagai.....MAJOR FAIL on my part. :x :x :x

Were there lamb burgers this year? Didn't see any. Those were outstanding last year.

The much hyped deer balls delivered. The bluegill and duck burgers were great. The backstrap was good. The asparagus was really good, but plates were a requirement that I didn't have on me at the moment Spiegel came around with them, so I sucked it up and burned the crap out of my fingers. The beer was cold, that took care of the burning fingers.

I ate what seemed like a mustard cheddar brat. It was good. By the time I got there most of the food look like it had been picked through. Since everyone was drinking heavily and there was no hand washing sink at the port a john, I figured it was better to go hungry than eat something marinated in Frank Costanza's frumunda cheese.

The tacos were great. I am not a mustard guy but those brats were good. Venison meatballs were great as well.

The whole thing was just excellent. And while it was warm out, it wasn't opressively hot. Its too bad we can't do something like that more than just once or twice a year.

Speaking of food ... Im hooked on these food shows like "Diners, Drive in's and Dives as I have hit a few joints featured and all were pretty good and I love"Man vs Food" as this guy is crazy with what he eats and the amount. Check these shows out .

It's sad that this is as close as we've come to a recipe for the three-mustard brats.

It sound much less appetizing when you know the secrets.

Like: Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This show makes me hungrier than any other food show on TV.

Do Not Like: Man vs. Food. Nothing he does seems that special. The fat bald guy on the other show has been consuming vast amounts of bugs, intestines, and penis for years. Eating a 3-lb. burger and washing it down with a couple shakes is not impressive at this point.
