Only listening sporadically but I've heard him bring this up several times...about how B&B declared the Cubs fun bad but he disagrees

He then went on to describe the Castro play in the 9th where he tripped on the bases....to me, that's the exact definition of "fun bad" right there. He was even chuckling when he was describing it.

I agree Bagels. Fun Bad was officially in play in Colorado.

I assume their definition of "Fun Bad" is watching the team and not giving a shit about the outcome? Just watching for entertainment value and not caring about the score maybe? I don't think a true fan of a particular team could ever do that.

I'd never watch the Iggles because they were fun bad. I only watch them when they're bad because I'm a masochist.

well my definition is when the team loses in strange/funny/disastrous ways.
getting shelled 18-1 qualifies
starting a 9th inning rally that essentially ended because the baserunner tripped running the bases qualifies

And he wasn't even the first Cub baserunner of the night to trip on a base.

Is there such a thing as "Fun-Embarassing"?

Fun bad is when they implode in every way possible during every game and Bob gets to rip them during the broadcast.

I felt that way about the Twins 20-1 victory over the Sox last year.

Ah, gotcha. So you felt the same way then as you did in October of 2007 and 2008.

Fun-Embarassing = Fun-Bad

You laugh, you cry, yet you cannot look away.

It is not something that can be limited to a game or series. It goes on and on and on and on.

I understand the fun bad idea, but to me....There is nothing fun about the Cubs this year. I'm too disgusted to take any enjoyment from their FAIL and I'm also too worried about our new owner Not doing ANYTHING to give me hope for better days. A low of low in my Cubs world. Sucks!

The whole term is stupid and needs to be taken out back and shot.

Fat Bad:
Image

The inferiority complex of this show, with Boers and Bernstein, continues. Seems that, at least once per showgram, Daniel or Matthew bring up something that Terrence or Daniel has said. Sad. Speaking of which, I wonder how uncomfortable Fatty McMeatpants gets when Bernstein lays into fat people like Gabby (from Precious) or Carlos Lee? Gabby looks like a SI swimsuit model compared to the commercial jingle singer.

Heard the chaps speaking this morning about Zappa, and how deep Brenly's waters must run to pull out an obscure Zappa reference. Right, because knowing a bad Zappa song and dropping it into a baseball conversation is really a sign of a music guy :x Have I missed it, or have these two avoided talking about the joke of an Event Of The Year that was had last week?

And while these two are tired of the Don't Stop Now Boys, I'd offer up Daniel's continued references to meaningless dates, game scores, and free food as something that needs to be taken out back and shot (along with Fun Bad and Four-Five Feathers blah blah).

I disagree, I would put that squarely in the "bad-embarassing" category.

Let's see a couple pics of your fat ass, Hater. Great name, by the way. Very appropriate. Curse Mac and Spiegs and their success!!
