Factually speaking, "The Danny Mac Show" is nipped tomorrow, as will "Boers & Bernstein", sans Boers, due to White Sox/Tigers' baseball in Detroit. Mac, "Oak Park Vandy" & Jason Goff will be done at 11:30a to accommodate Ranger's "Lowe's Pregame" on 670 The SCORE & the TOYOTA Chicago White Sox Radio Network, with Bernsy & Laurence Holmes covering the tabs after the "Xfinity Feedback Zone Postgame".

Per usual, the part time host Matthew Spiegel will not be in to work on Thursday August 5th, 2010. No, not a death in the family or a colon checkup. Rather, his primary job of cover band singer will be keeping him up late thus making it impossible for him to 'work' a four hour shift of talking sports at 9am the next day.

Luckily, for Matthew, he was able to also reschedule a gig where he was going to record a jingle for a local gyros joint. This frees him up to sleep in until at least 2pm, at which point he will have a Meals On Wheels truck drop off a load of pre-cooked food for him to feast on as his handlers wash him down.

Rumors that he will also miss his shift on Friday are just that, rumors. It is possible that he might be a bit sleepy from a day of eating and slapping his meat, but all indications are that he plans on showing up on Friday to the workplace he calls the 'Coal Mine'.

Any time Spiegel wants to miss work is fine with me. I wish he would miss every day. Thankfully we get to hear Goff & OPV tomorrow & hopefully Friday too.
