Any of you "insiders" been keeping it all to yourselves. Please.... do share with those who don't know just how decidedly the Score is smoking ESPN. Maybe that's why the board has been slow, predictable and even dull lately. It's not a close fight between the two stations. The Score has never been healthier -- ratings wise -- than it has been for the past year. Who's going to report this? Sucks not having sports media writers in either paper. Some stories out there not being written.

No offense to you Mac, because I do like your show, but this board has been just fine while you have decided that facebook is somehow superior to it.

There have been some other ideas tossed out the last few days but this wasn't one.

What are the ratings for the 9-2 hours for both stations?

I would love to know the ratings for those 6 hours of pure radio genius nationally broadcast on fox sports radio this past weekend?

Yes, please give us the ratings. We don't have any insiders.

3 hours of which were selling lake front lots in Park Ridge.

Keeping Score leads a bunch of board exiles back...I think the board's in good stead, other than the controversy-of-the-week....

Ratings don't mean anything. Anyone with half a brain puts Mac in drive time and B&B back in midafternoons. Make it so, Mitch. Although Terry probably doesn't want to get up that early and has it in his contract...

Cof, no need to mess with a schedule that is clearly working. Even if the great fastball hitter Cof thinks it is the right way.

So do you look and smell like an asshole too or is the shit you spew the only way you resemble one?

Good to be back, Bucky. Somebody starts writing something interesting and I'll comment more. I'll share something with you.... in the August monthly -- not the end-all, be-all but a monthly ledger -- ESPN was 15th among adult men. 15th. I hope Jim Pastor and Justin Craig are sleeping well at night.

A few other nuggets to stir it up....

* Great to have Ben Finfer back on the staff. It's great for the show... for Ben... and for me personally. Get enormous joy seeing those "on the tree" prosper and in my presence. He's the best at what he does. By a mile. In combination with Jay Zawasky and Nick Shepkowski, I have the best production staff in town.

* Finji's won't be the last former co-worker I bring over.

* Matt Spiegel rocks as a co-host. I became comfortable with a three-man weave after a couple years with J&H. I still like three... but don't feel we need it. Matt is as prepared as any partner I've had and we resolve conflict as quickly and positively as any partner I've ever worked with.

* The Heavy Fuel reunion wasn't a one time thing. All four of us liked it. We're going to do that wife swap thing again. No dates yet, but don't be surprised if it happens once or twice a quarter.

* Lawrence Holmes is one of the best fucking teammates I've ever had. A credit to his parents, his coaches at H-F and his friends.

* In the year 2020, Jason Goff will be one of the most popular sports talk hosts in Chicago.

Quality post there. Is this the kind of stuff you would rather see rather than whatever posts you currently find unacceptable?

Mac leaves the board for a few months. It may have been more. It moved on and was just fine. Now he returns and tells us how it was "slow, predictable and even dull lately." Let's be honest here. No one was saying "Where is Mac?". Why isn't he here?

I really enjoy it when Mac posts here but there is no reason to take shots at things here. It's been just fine without him.

If you've read the board lately, you see a little celebration when Goff sits in with either you or Speigal. To be honest, no disrespect to Vandy, but I would love to hear you and Goff together for a full show one day, not just the 90 minute sniff before a Sox nooner.

I sorta thought it's sucked lately, not because of Mac's absence, though.

I think Reason is saying you sorta suck.

I was told quality of posts don't matter, everything goes, so I'm joining in. It would be fine without you, you should give it a try.

board-om has nothing to do with me here or not here, boilermaker. i'm just worn out from the same pissing matches between the same people over the same allegiances and blah blah blah. and i don't find facebook THAT fascinating. it's a nice way to promote the show and mingle with a few thousand "friends" instead of the couple hundred of us who are here. and just cuz i aint posted doesn't mean i don't check in a couple times a week. just haven't seen much lately that compeling.

unrelated.... purdue defensive end ryan kerrigan is a fucking great player. wasn't much of a win against western illinois last week but that dude is going to play on sundays. boiler up! just go easy on ball state this weekend. too bad we didn't to ross ade when nate davis was our qb two seasons ago.

It's a shame he doesn't have a team around him. If we had another d-lineman to stop the double teams he could be All-American. After how they struggled for most of the first half against WIU I wouldn't worry too much about needing them to take it easy. I'll take a win.

City, let me try to help you out here brother. As a woman ages they get this thing called a menstrual cycle, they say it's for the purpose of reproduction however I firmly believe that not every female should do so.

Long story short Rick thinks I should leave.

Just as I believe not every male should reproduce, either.
