I could talk about it for half the show once the Big 10 teams begin playing each other. I don't because it's not "big" enough to hold a big audience. Seems the Bears' early success has put college footy even more on the back burner. Just wondering what the class's thoughts are on their level of interest in the Big 10, N.D. and the national scene. |

Iowa/Penn State...I'd love a break down, but it will depress me a little bit. |

I'm a Ben Ten guy again so Big Ten and ND would be cool. The national stuff you can keep. Wasted an afternoon watching Ryan Leaf Mallet and that was a waste.... Thank you ESPN and CBS for hyping that bum. |

I think Iowa kicks em in the teeth. Again. Ricky Stanzi has thrown 9 TDs with only 1 pick and they can run it a little too. I like Iowa big Saturday in what I hope is Paterno's last year in Happy Valley. Let him shit his pants in an assisted care living center, not at a fine Big Ten venue. |

Sadly, I think your analysis is spot on, but JoePa will never leave. When he dies, They'll stuff him and mount him on the sidelines. In fact, how do we know this didn't happen 5 years ago? |

I'd welcome more college football talk. Big 10 should be the focus, but the Top 25 as well. |

I'd rather you didn't talk ND until they can tackle someone...ugly this year. Teddy G is always good to have on. maybe a Big 10 coach or two? |

Speaking of college football, what the hell was Mitch thinking when he gave Gerry DiNardo a radio show? Good lord hes bad at radio. Teddy G would have been a much better host. |

Denard Robinson is a FREAK - obviously very athletic but he has really impressed me with his football IQ. He is reading the OLB and Safety to decide to keep it, hand it off or pass. |

I would love to hear more college ball talk, especially now that the Sox are acknowledged as dead. |

Some discussion of The U would be excellent. They are relevant all across the nation because of their all around awesomeness. G.reg and Devin could call in and let everyone know what its all about. |

Ok, well since there are so many haters of The U, what about this? Talk Big 10 and ND, but if there is a good national matchup then snag some bears players that went to those schools and get em on the line to discuss. |

I propose the first 2 hours of each show is dedicated to Illinois football, Hour 3 goes to Notre Dame, and the final hour for National College football talk. If you do that, I'll call in more often than Elmhurst Steve and, thus, would earn free drinks throughout Chicagoland. So, win-win. Also, I would no longer have to listen to the Alabama-centric RivalsRadio. |

I would definitely listen to more CF talk. I couldn't take any extended segments focused on one Big Ten team at a time........ but Big Ten talk in general, Top 25 talk, ND, big games each weekend - hell yeah, I'm all for it. Baseball is done and as much of a hockey fan as I am, I think there will be a little bit of a hangover attention-wise when it comes to the Hawks. Most people would rather listen to general college football talk over how well Dave Bolland is going to be able to lead the 3rd line newcomers on the Hawks this year, IMO. |

I would like to hear more college football talk. I watch all the games I can, all day Saturday and the Thursday night game. I am also with Urlacher's missing neck, it's all about the U, Take down the Tigers on Saturday. |

anything that makes me clench my fists make a scary face and yell "GO CATS" is a plus for me. seriously, the bears stuff does tend to reach a level of overkill. i understand that you have to cater to an audience and obviously the bears are far and away the most unilaterally cared-about team in the chicago market, but there comes a point where, to quote phil jackson, it becomes mental masturbation. you've got a nice little pocket here between baseball and before the hawks and then the bulls start, so why not go for it? it's kind of like the voice in field of dreams.... if you talk about it they will call. unless you're working at WGN, evidently. |

Coach Fitz is the one coach I have had my fill of for the year. He is just too coachy. I do think he is a good coach, just the personality isnt really that great. |

I will not tell you about your business. If your station's analysis shows that people don't want to listen to college football talk, I will accept it as true. However, I would love more college football talk on the score. What would it hurt to devote half an hour a day to the subject. I would love to hear some "expert" (different each week) from the big conferences come on once a week. I'm sure a local from Tuscaloosa or Athens would love to come on the air and would do so with sufficient passion to get Chicagoans interested. Although I hate athlete interviews, I have a feeling that interviews with college kids could end up being fun. One half hour per week of intense Big Ten analysis would probably also fly very well with the masses. Finally Thursday would be a great time to break down the big games of the weekend before going full bore bears on Friday. Dan, has the score made a concerted effort to keep gambling discussion of the station? It seemed like a decade ago you would hear a lot of point spread talk on each of the shows during football season. North and Park Ridge Kenny did their extra show on Sunday mornings (although completely uninformative it was fun). Murph had The Duke. CoasttoCoast had a segment. Now, it seems like it disappeared. I think that it was getting a little out of hand, but a little solid conversation is never bad. I'm not looking for touts but some solid discussion from a disinterested party might be interesting |
