It wasn't Basketball vs Hockey, it was Basketball vs Baseball.

Basically Goff said more people would still watch the NBA Playoffs with no Bulls, than more people that watch the MLB Playoffs with no Chicago teams. It started because they were wondering who was watching the Roy Halladay no hitter.

Yeah , I think Goff was WAYYYYyyyyyy Offfff on the NBA Love in Chicago without the Bulls.

It might do better ratings than Hoc key because it gets National TV, but thats about it

I'm telling you there is something else going on with Goff defending B-ball. There is a subtext. Goff views it as meaning something else. Just like he does when a Chicago accent caller is on the air. Chicago accent = racist in the minds of the B&B crew. Bernstein has convinced Jason that white people hating basketball also means "racist".

Anyway, this type of argument sounds like stupid, childish radio to me.

How many times does this sort of scenerio happen on the B&B show?

Joe: I hate basketball and dem basketball players.

Goff: Uh oh!!!! One of these guys.

Dan: Yep. The old "I hate basketball" which, of course, always means something else.

Terry: Eeeee eeeee!!!!

So when Goff goes to Mackey's radio world that "B&B race radar" switch doesn't get turned off. It's just Goff can't do Mac like the B&B show does the callers. So it's a little more subtle. That's all I'm saying. If B&B are allowed to deduce race angles, why can't I do the same? Sometimes B&B's stuff is plausible. This one of mine is plausible too. Why can't I flip it on them?

For the most part, the racial stuff is done is jest....making fun of stereotypes. That's what I gather anyway. (waiting for seacrest to make fun of me saying gather)

They're not always joking as I've said before. If their "racist radar" is used for callers, why would you think that very radar isn't used on SCORE people?
