Today Mac declared his fantasy team dead. Claims he wasn't paying attention to it, didn't even know what was happening.

Well "Macaroo", you are beating my ass this week and are about to go to 3-2!!!

I consider this a form of deferred taunting under the "My team is so good, I don't care about them and can beat your ass"

I also heard him say that he doesn't know how to add and drop players. So you should kick his ass when his players have bye weeks.

he's trying to live up to the "gee whiz" barney rubble thing a little too much. y'all are right tho, insomuchas if he claims he doesn't give a shit if his team tanks he's already washed his hands of it and should they mount a comeback to the top he can claim "...and i didn't even do anything!"

win-win situation where he comes out looking good to the masses either way... but us messageboard peeps know the truth =D

Good. maybe we will get less fuckin fantasy talk now. "Who should I start?" the caller asked in a whiny voice, and a lengthy reply that applied to probably less that a tenth of a percentage of the audience followed, to be repeated many times.

I used to be in fantasy but quit 3 years ago. I find it extremely annoying when hanging out with buddies
that I am talking to during a game that cut me off when the ticker comes up to bitch or be happy about
their fantasy guys. One of the reasons I quit playing because I am sure I used to be the same way.

I never worry myself about my fantasy teams during the games. There is nothing you can do to change what is going on, so why worry?

My thoughts exactly, but I do not field a team any longer. I suppose it depends on what
kind of league you are in and how much trash talk you have to deal with or how important
you think it is in your life. I am all about finding out who you have on your team and trying
to root for your guy to get the points, but get off your damn Blackberry every two minutes
like you are waiting on earth shattering news. I'll step off my soap box now. Overall I like
the idea of FF, just take a step back unless you have a significant amount of money riding
on it.

Are you sure you want to even be back at that time? B&B has sucked serious shit for a bit now....be careful where you turn the dial and always think of your radio health.

Yep. I do play in a few leagues and have a lot of fun with it, but too many people can't separate fantasy from reality. I've got a number of friends with whom it used to be a lot of fun to talk NFL, but they don't care about the real game anymore. They can only see things from the POV of their fantasy team.

The most bizarre aspect of this is when they complain about coaches who don't play their players enough. "Kubiac is such an idiot, he didn't give enough carries to Arian Foster, and so I lost my game this week. Everyone knows what an idiot that makes him." Trying to explain to these people that NFL coaches don't give a shit about their fantasy teams is about as productive as hitting yourself over the head with a hammer.

Time to figure out what to do if there's a lockout next season - I'll go through DTs without a fantasy football draft or two in late August/early September.

A7X has it. On Sunday mornings, my first thought is a cup of coffee and a smoke... then the day's investment opportunities. Fantasy roster isn't a consideration until I've been up for a couple hours. And by the way, Big Fan, my 2-3 record means nothing. I'M SECOND FROM THE BOTTOM IN TOTAL POINTS! People say Im suck.

Aren't you working right now?

Of course, most of us are too, and that obviously doesn't stop us from being here too.

I like the fact that mac's two olines have the same bye week, and I believe he has both of his IDP guys at the same position on a bye the same week.

Who has the fewest points Mac? ;)
