I heard that Mac would be attending. Haven't caught it on the air yet, but he said he was gonna let people know where he'd be tailgating. Thought it would be nice to stop by and say hi.

I think he said look for the Randy Walker autographed helmet on top of his vehicle.

I happened to be listening on Wed afternoon during my lunch and he mentioned
where in the lot he would be but I don't recall now where that was. Sorry.

I'm guessing the West Lot. Those parking passes are more available and its a bigger lot. If you stick around the tailgate after the game, you'll get to meet alot of the team at the Parent's tailgate, right next to the Rolling Rock tent.

It was the same way at Purdue home games.

I guess they aren't a "family" at Iowa like they are at Purdue and Northwestern.

Nope. The players families party in the north lot and meet up with their kids later. The players don't come out afterwards.

I know this is a little belated, but really enjoyed meeting Mac at this event. The guy had a great tailgate going with all the Big 10 helmets lined up on the car (that day's opponents facing each other). I just went up to him to say hi and he couldn't have been nicer. He yelled out "Mud" even before I had the opportunity to introduce myself. The funniest part was as I was leaving he said, "So are you gonna tell me your real name?" Kinda thought that was a classy touch... I figured most famous talk show hosts wouldn't give a rat's ass what my real name was.

Also got a chance to meet Boilermaker Rick. Nice guy too. Thanks for the drink... I still reek of rum or whatever that crap was!
